Birds in danger of extinction

  1. 1. In Ecuador there are 92 species of birds that are endangered. Of these, 15 could disappear soon.
  2. 3. <ul><li>They are large birds which measure between 70 cm and 80 cm from head to tail. </li></ul><ul><li>Their colors are red, blue and yellow. </li></ul><ul><li>They eat fruit, seeds and nuts. </li></ul><ul><li>Many could be found in Napo River. </li></ul><ul><li>THEY ARE THREATENED BY THE DESTRUCTION OF THEIR HABITAT AND BY HUNTERS. </li></ul>
  3. 6. <ul><li>Condors are very big, black and grey birds. </li></ul><ul><li>Their wingspan is 3.5 metres and they weight about 10 kilos. </li></ul><ul><li>They eat dead animals. </li></ul><ul><li>They could be found in Ecuadorian Andes. </li></ul><ul><li>THEY ARE IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION BECAUSE THEY ARE THREATENED BOTH BY HUNTERS AND BY THE DESTRUCTION OF THEIR HABITAT. </li></ul>
  4. 9. <ul><li>These birds usually measure between 30 and 60 cm. </li></ul><ul><li>They can be found in tropical forest. </li></ul><ul><li>Toucans eat fruits that catch easily with its huge beak. </li></ul><ul><li>Tucans are colorful birds. They may be black, white, yellow and blue. </li></ul><ul><li>IT IS IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION BECAUSE THEIR BIRTH RATE IS LOW AND THEY ARE SOLD AS PETS. </li></ul>
