  6. 6. Fast Facts About Our Patron Saint San Luis Rey Louis IX (25 April 1214 – 25 August 1270), commonly Saint Louis, was crowned King of France when he was 12 years old. He ruled for 44 years. Saint Louis was celebrated for his piety and kindness towards the poor. His life was lived for the welfare of his subjects, making him a model for future kings.
