  2. 2. On behalf of the SANKER CUP Organizing Committee, I have the honor to invite You to the 16th International Karate Tournament MINSK OPEN - SANKER CUP 2020. SANKER CUP – is the one of the largest competition in Eastern Europe. Western and Eastern teams traditionally take part in. In the previous years SANKER CUP have given a good reception to karateka’s from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, China, Estonia, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Nepal, Poland, Russia, Syria, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. Tournament will be held at October 9-11, 2020 at the athletics arena of the Institution “Republican Center for Olympic Athletics Training” (direct link to the location on the official website: http://www.athletics.by/about/contacts/shemaproezda/). We will be glad to see You and Your team in Minsk on our event! Information on rules of visa-free travel available at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus website (direct link: http://mfa.gov.by/en/visa/visafreetravel/). The rules introduce the visa-free entry through the border checkpoint at the Minsk National Airport and the visa-free stay in Belarus for up to 30 days for the citizens of 74 states. Tournament will be held according to the modes listed below, depending on the number of competitors in the category:  up to and including 4 competitors: round-robin tournament (single 3rd place).  5 and more competitors: single-elimination tournament with full repechage (two 3rd places).  all INDIVIDUAL KUMITE OPEN categories: single-elimination tournament with semi-final repechage (single 3rd place). 1.2. Duration of single fight:  age U10 (7-9): 1 minute (up to the obtaining a clear lead of six points or more).  age U12 (10-11), U14 (12-13): 1 minute 30 seconds.  other age groups: according to the WKF rules. 2. WKF RULES The tournament will be held according to the WKF rules in force from January 1, 2020. AWARDING Winners will get a diploma, a medal and a cup. Medal-winners will get a diploma and a medal. There are prize moneys in categories INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE U16 (14-15) OPEN, U18 (16-17) OPEN and SENIORS OPEN: INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE SENIORS OPEN 1st PLACE 2nd PLACE 3rd PLACE 500 EUR 250 EUR 150 EUR INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE U16 (14-15) OPEN INDIVIDUAL KUMITE MALE U18 (16-17) OPEN 1ST PLACE 2nd PLACE 3rd PLACE 100 EUR 50 EUR — MANDATES COMMISSION AND REFEREE SEMINAR October 9, 2020: 111, Kalinoŭskaha str., Institution “Republican Center for Olympic Athletics Training” (athletics arena): 15:00-20:00 – Mandates Commission and weighting of participants in categories of all age groups. THE TOLERANCE FOR EXCEEDING THE DECLARED WEIGHT CATEGORY IS 200 GRAMS. ATHLETES WHO ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE DECLARED WEIGHT CATEGORY CAN BE RE-DECLARED TO ANOTHER WITHOUT ADDITIONAL PAYMENT, ALSO THOSE WHO HAVE PASSED THE WEIGH-IN AT THE MANDATES COMMISSION - THEY CAN NOT BE RE- WEIGHTED AT THE DAY OF THE COMPETITION!!! 17:00 – Seminar for referees and judges (conference hall of the athletics arena).   5. 5. PARTICIPANTS Combined commands from different countries, regions, and sporting clubs are allowed. Competitor’s age is determined by date October 9, 2020. The amount of competitors in team is unlimited. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TOURNAMENT PARTICIPANTS IS LIMITED - 1200 ENTRIES. Up to 10 team members – 1 coach accreditation; from 10 to 15 – 2 coaches; over 15 – 3 coaches. The following documents are required and should be provided on Mandates Commission: an application in a given form, an identification card (identifying participants and their age), the insurance policy. All the participants, including the representatives, coaches, judges, referees and VIP's should be registered at www.sportdata.org and post their photos there. EQUIPMENT Equipment of all participants should comply with WKF rules. REFEREES Qualified referees and judges are welcome. All referees will be provided with meal during the tournament. Referees will be paid for their work. PROTESTING The deposit for considering the protest is 100 EUR. Weighing 08:30-09:00 – age group U16 (14-15). 09:00-09:30 – age group U18 (16-17). 09:30-10:00 – age group SENIORS (18+). ATHLETES PRE-WEIGHED AT THE MANDATES COMMISSION – ARE NOT RE-WEIGHED!!! IF THE DECLARED WEIGHT IS EXCEEDED (TOLERANCE – 200 GRAMS), THE ATHLETE IS DISQUALIFIED, THE REGISTRATION FEE IS NOT REFUNDED!!! 2. Schedule 08:30-09:00 – briefing for referees and judges. 09:00-15:00 – competitions in KATA categories: age U10 (7-9), U12 (10-11) and U14 (12-13) and KUMITE categories: age U10 (7-9) and U12 (10-11). 15:00-16:00 – official opening of Tournament and awarding of past categories. 16:00-19:30 – competitions in KUMITE categories: age U14 (12-13). 19:30-20:00 – awarding of past categories. 2. Schedule (awarding of past categories will be held during the competition) 08:30-09:00 – briefing for referees and judges. 09:00-14:00 – competitions in KATA categories: age U16 (14-15), U18 (16-17) and SENIORS (18+) and KUMITE categories: age U16 (14-15) and U18 (16-17). 14:00-18:30 – competitions in KUMITE categories: age SENIORS (18+). 18:30-19:00 – closing of Tournament.
