Publish sites to the world </li></li></ul><li>Initial Setup<br />In order to create a site through Google, users must create a Google Account. It’s FREE and very easy to setup.<br /><ul><li>Go to www.google.com
Click Create an Account Now</li></ul>Note: If you use Gmail, Google Docs, etc you already have a Google Account<br />
Getting Started<br />Visit sites.google.com to begin<br />
Locating the Google Sites Page<br />While signed in to Google, click the more link at the top toolbar of the main Google page and scroll down to Sites.<br />Click on the Create new site button. <br />
The First Steps<br />This will allow the user to enter the following:<br />Site Theme<br />Name of the Site<br />Site Description<br />Site Accessibility<br />Enter in the security code and just like that, the new site has been created! After the site has been created, the user should now be at their new site “Home” page.<br />
Create<br />Choose a template…<br />1.<br />Name your site<br />2.<br />Enter the “code”<br />3.<br />Click to ‘Create Site’<br />4.<br />
Add & Edit Pages<br />Click to add pages, name pages, and choose a template.<br />
Page Templates<br /><ul><li>Web pageSimplest kind of page; write content, embed gadgets, and arrange it how you like.
AnnouncementsLike a blog; displays posts in chronological order
File cabinetStore and organize files. Anyone subscribed to the page will be notified when files are added, changed, or removed.

Edit a page<br />Click to customize your page layout and format content and text.<br />The edit toolbar will appear at the top of the page. Be sure to save any changes you make.<br />Use these options to format text on your page. <br />
Edit a page<br />Click ‘Format’ to change text headings and format.<br />Click ‘Table’ to add and edit a table.<br />Click ‘Insert’ to add images, Google objects, videos or gadgets to your page.<br />Click ‘Layout’ to change the page layout.<br />
More Actions<br />Includes subscribing to site and page changes, printing a page, saving a page as a template. <br />Share your site link or invite others to view/edit the site.<br />
Manage your site<br />View recent site changes, page changes, and attachments. <br />Change your page templates.<br />
