Grief is ubiquitous and universal. Everyone who loves will experience loss. Even Jesus, God Himself, grieved and expressed great sorrow. On this day, 9/11, we as a nation and many around the world sorrow and weep in remembrance of 15 years ago. Jesus promised comfort to those who mourn. What did He mean? How can we know His comfort?
4. The Attitude The Anticipation
Poor in Spirit Theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Mourn They shall be comforted
Meek They shall inherit the earth
Hunger for Righteousness They shall be filled
Merciful They shall obtain mercy
Pure in Heart They shall see God
Peacemakers They shall be called the sons of God
Persecuted for Righteousness Theirs is the kingdom of God
