1. How does your media product represent
particular social groups?
2. The age of the characters is the same so there
is no difference in between them, they are aged
15. This is challenged because the normal age
of a superhero is the 20-30 years old. I have
showed this because the age of my actors are
not higher than 16 years old.
3. My film represents the class by how they dress.
For example the main character instead of
wearing a pyjama. This means that the main
character don’t have money which is from the
lower class while the bully is also from the low
class but he is from a normal family. This class
is not challenged it is only met because I
haven’t changed anything set before.
4. In my film I have set the ethnicity by the cast.
In the cast there is two ethnicities white and
black. In my film there is also racism which
sets also that the white is superior, what in my
opinion this is not true. This ethnicity is not
challenged because in the majority of the films
the ones who are stronger are the whites.
5. In my film the only sexuality which is set is the
male sex. This is caused because the majority
of the superheroes are male. For example in
superman there is no female superhero
character. In the market there are less female
superhero films than male. This is met but not
challenged because I didn’t set a girl as
superhero.
6. It depends for example the age is neutral while
the ethnicity is negative. The age is neutral
because it does not harm anything or it is good
for it. The ethnicity is negative because it harm
black people that there are not that much black
coloured superheroes.
