    17. 17. Interact with professionals that can help you learn.
    18. 18. Networking doesn’t have to take place with two people in the same place anymore... Now the communication is constant.
    19. 19. Find your industry and niche.
    20. 20. Birds of a feather... do flock together.
    21. 21. Jump into the conversation.
    22. 22. We are born to converse with others.
    23. 23. Be authentic & transparent.
    24. 24. Honesty is a virtue... being authentic and transparent leaves you with credibility.
    25. 25. Set privacy settings and monitor your brand (IE: Your name)
    26. 26. Monitor what people are saying about you! A ruined reputation is hard to recover.
    27. 27. Stay Connected.
    28. 28. If you utilize social media minimally, you will not gain anything from it. Maximization comes from consistent use.
    29. 29. Write well.
    30. 30. Blogs, status updates, profile information, tweets, etc... Writing well will always be your first offense in gaining more followers and connecting with others.
    31. 31. DONT’S
    32. 32. Share anything that you would not want your mother or boss to see.
    33. 33. Do you really want your boss or your mom to find out about late night extravaganzas?
    34. 34. Plagiarize.
    35. 35. Stealing other’s ‘tweets’, statuses, or blog posts is just as bad as cheating on a term paper in college.
    36. 36. Try to sell something.
    37. 37. By joining the conversation and sharing with others, you’ll find a return for your time investment. Selling your idea right out of the gate will not return connections or friends.
    38. 38. Be stingy.
    39. 39. Find a good web site or blog post? Share the link. Social Media is a two-way street, spread the wealth.
    40. 40. Toe the line.
    41. 41. Spreading rumors and being uncouth is childish. It’s also the quickest way to alienate your audience.

    43. 43. We use social media for a reason or a goal. Use these tools as a business objective.
