    2. 2. Introduction <ul><li>“ Research has found that smart phones are affecting productivity, communication in the work place, social engagement, and have an effect in education”. Do you agree with this statement? </li></ul>
    3. 3. What is a Smartphone? <ul><li>A smartphone is a phone that gives you the features of a mobile phone but also gives you the features of a computer. </li></ul>
    4. 4. Some of the features of a Smartphone. <ul><li>The smartphone offers the user the following features: </li></ul><ul><li>The ability to send and receive e-mails. </li></ul><ul><li>The ability to connect to the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>A smartphone has a QWERTY keyboard which means that the keys are in the exact formation they would be on a keyboard. </li></ul>

The history of the Smartphone. <ul><li>The first smartphone was made in 1992 and was called Simon and was made by IBM. </li></ul><ul><li>In 1996 another smartphone was created by Nokia called the Communicator </li></ul><ul><li>But the communicator did not do so well in the market because people could not afford it because of its expensive price tag </li></ul>

Advantages and Disadvantages of Smartphones. <ul><li>Advantages </li></ul><ul><li>Disadvantages </li></ul><ul><li>You stay connected by constantly having access to the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>You always can access to you e-mail from your smartphone. </li></ul><ul><li>Information can be shared much with a smartphone , information such as documents. </li></ul><ul><li>Smartphones tend to cost a lot of money so people struggle to afford them. </li></ul><ul><li>The keyboard size of a smartphone is to awkward and therefore causes confusion. </li></ul><ul><li>People become obsessed with smartphones which later on has negative affects on certain areas of their lives. </li></ul>

    10. 10. Conclusion <ul><li>Since the introduction of smartphones in 1992 a lot of changes have occurred since then, although there are disadvantages to smartphones such as their expensive price tag smartphones have proved to be very helpful use to peoples lives. </li></ul>
