How to improve your Job Prospects, Apprenticeship Recruitment

  1. 1. These days it is so easy for your CV to get lost amongst a sea of applications and specialist knowledge is becoming more and more important. So here is our list of things that you can do to become the perfect candidate and improve you job prospects. HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR JOB PROSPECTS
  2. 2. TAKE A TRAINEESHIP OR APPRENTICESHIP There is now full government funding available for Apprenticeships and Traineeships so now it is now easier than ever to up-skill. At Apprenticeship Recruitment we can help you find placements in a number of different sectors from Health & Social care to Business Administration to Sports & Fitness.
  3. 3. If you are aged between16-23 you could be entitled to start on one or both of the courses. Traineeships give you the vital hands on experience that you need to become work ready. They are specifically for people who don’t have enough qualifications or work experience to be accepted onto an Apprenticeship straight away. Apprenticeships are the next stage up. They give hands on experience and training while you are working and earning. TAKE A TRAINEESHIP OR APPRENTICESHIP
  4. 4. UPDATE YOUR CV Lots of people don’t spend enough time perfecting their CV. A CV is the first impression that your potential employer will have of you so it is important to make your first impression count. Set aside some time where you can review your CV. Make a list of your skills, experience and qualifications and then work out your key skills and achievements for this. If you have a dream job but there are holes in your experience or qualification that are stopping you getting there then this will help you to identify them and decide how you are going to work to fill them in.
  5. 5. VOLUNTEER Volunteering will not only help other but it will teach you new, exchangeable skills which will make you more employable. It will also show that you work well in a team and have your own initiative to do things for yourself. It will also make you a more interesting person and make new connections.
