On completion of this e-learning course, learners will be able to outline, understand and act upon their duty of care helping to ensure the safety and well-being of those they support and for their own professional development to ensure the balance between acting on their responsibilities and allowing people the rights to make choices. On completion of this course learners will be able to: • Identify how duty of care contributes to safe practice. • Address conflicts or dilemmas that may arise between an individual’s rights & the duty of care. • Outline how to respond to complaints. Accreditation The content of this course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines. Duration Approximately 1 and a half hours. With approximately 40 interactive screens, it is estimated that this module will take approximately 1 and half hours to complete (depending on learning speed).
