COLLARING STAGES• Statement Collar – casual collars often worn at parties or munches, usually by an unowned submissive, more about showing role in community• Collar of Protection – physical collar or piece of jewelry representative of a dominant, used for newer/transitional submissives to protect against harassment and abuse• Collar of Consideration – collar given by dominant to submissive during trial period, usually given for a set period of time, can be revoked• Training Collar – collar given after formal acceptance of D/s relationship, negotiation process evolves during this stage• Formal Collar – collar given usually in formal ceremony, final acceptence of relationship• Slave Collar – special type of formal collar where submissive gives up all rights upon acceptence• Cyber Collar – a virtual collar in a virtual D/s relationship, was common in IRC and chat rooms, 3D worlds follow more traditional collars
