  8. 8. Tercel Plastic Earth Pit Chamber High compressive strength and is fully functional even with 2 inch (50 mm) of ground settlement or flooding. Earth pit provide a secure and user friendly access point for maintenance purpose and the periodical measuring of electrical resistance of a buried earthing system. In order to complete routine measurements of electrical resistance simply; remove the lid from the resistance meter to the earthing conductor. Long life maintenance free. Very smooth inner walls, no cockroach or vermin. Very little labour required ( 80 % less)- Very ECONOMICAL Aesthetically pleasing. Very strong and UV stabilizing locked down cover. Traditional Chamber Chamber will collapse and crack on ground settlement or flooding. Routine checkup is not easy. Traditional chamber require regular repair. Rough inner walls, ideal breeding ground for cockroaches and vermin. Very labour intensive – EXPENSIVE. Ugly cast iron cover. Easily stolen and will definitely rust and crack after long term use.
  9. 9. Technical Specification of FAST ELECTRODE 1. The chemical earth electrode( “FAST ELECTRODE”) should be tested & certified by CPRI (Central Power Research Institute) for Peak & RMS current. 2. The Earthing electrode( FAST ELECTRODE) should be of GI construction Dual Pipe technology with the galvanization of 80-100 microns. For FE 62 model the outer diameter should be 62 mm and the inner Diameter should be 32 mm. 3. The Earthing electrode (FAST ELECTRODE) should be of GI construction Dual Pipe technology with the galvanization of 80-100 microns For FE 88 model the outer shall be 88 mm Dia and the inner shall be 48 mm Dia . 4. The terminal hole diameter should be 14mm. 5. There should be an additional Zinc coating on the outer surface(cold galvanization). 6. The inner pipe thickness should be of 3 mm & outer pipe thickness should be of 2 mm. 7. The manufacturer should provide the corrosion test report of 500 hours certified by NABL approved lab. 8. The FAST ELECTRODE shall be surrounded by “Earth Enhancing Compound” to increase the overall conductive surface area in order to lower the ohmic value 9. The manufacturer should provide the Cerificate for Earth Enhancing compound for PH Value ie between 7 to 9 certified by NABL approved laboratory. 10. The chemical back fill compound should not contain any toxic material. 11. The manufacturer should provide the certificate of moisture content for Earthing compoundduly certified by NABL approved laboratory. 12. The Earth Enhancing Compound shall be highly conductive and non-corrosive. 13. The( FAST ELECTRODE) should be able to carry the peak short circuit withstand current of minimum 42 kA and duly tested and certified by CPRI. 14. The chemical compound used for back filling around the earth electrode shall be duly tested and certified by any International accredited and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), Govt of India accredited laboratory. The testing laboratory should be ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certified. 15. Between the inner & outer pipes, it should be adequately filled with special composition of highly conductive metallic compound which will have the continuity for fast conduction & highly resistive to corrosion. 16. In any case, usage of Salt & Charcoal with the FAST ELECTRODE is strictly not permitted. 17. The Earthing electrode(FAST ELECTRODE) must be approved by the PWD, Maharashtra, and MSE DCL infra 18. The manufacturer have the experience of providing minimum 1200 Earthing electrode (work order)at time for IOCL directly or through its vendor.

The manufacturer should have an experience to provide the material for IOCL for a minimum quantity of 2000 earthing Electrodes.
