  3. 3. <ul><li>Life skills enable people to translate knowledge (What one knows) and attitudes/ values (what one believes and feels) into action (what to do and how to do it.) </li></ul><ul><li>Life Skills can be defined as one’s abilities for positive behavior that help us in making correct choices in life. </li></ul>What is the meaning of the term “LIFE SKILLS”?

  7. 7. <ul><li>Empathy is the ability to imagine what life is like for another person. </li></ul><ul><li>Empathy allows us to find the common ground between ourselves and others. </li></ul><ul><li>Empathizing means- whatever the other person feels-you are able to verbalize those feelings and also able to act accordingly so that the other person feels that you have understood what he is going through. </li></ul>Empathy

Dealing with Emotions <ul><li>Involves recognizing emotions in ourselves and others. </li></ul><ul><li>Being aware of how emotions influence behavior. </li></ul><ul><li>Being to respond to emotions appropriately. Intense emotions, like anger or sadness, can have negative effects on our health if we do not respond appropriately. </li></ul>
