  5. 5. Major Radiation Exposure in Real Life Events• Three Mile Island• The people near the Three Mile Island heard that loud thunderous noises, like a couple of freight trains at that time.• No one was reported injured and the little radiation.
  6. 6. Major Radiation Exposure in Real Life Events• Chernobyl• Chernobyl was the result of a fatal combination of ignorance and complacency.• The result of radioactive release was equivalent to ten Hiroshimas.
  7. 7. Medical Treatment• There is currently no effective medical treatment available for potentially fatal radiation.
