We are one of the registered member of INDIAN MOUNTAINEERING FOUNDATION (IMF), New Delhi. We are based at Devindar Puri, Bari Mukhani, Haldwani, Nainital, (UTTARAKHAND). We are an authorized society by the Government of Uttarakhand to run certified courses in Search and Rescue Operation, Disaster Management, Survival Management, Paragliding, Skiing, Rock Climbing, Rafting, Scuba Diving. We are also known as one of Most Experienced Trekking & Mountaineering Team of Uttarakhand. </li></ul>AGWS is one of the pioneer society who has taken the initiative to promote Disaster Management across India. It is an initiative taken up to build and explore the hidden desire of those persons who believe in challenges in exploring the untouched parts of India. “ ABELIA” is the Marketing wing of “Adventure Guide Welfare Society ®”, Haldwani (Nainital) a registered society under the “Society Act XXI of 1860” and affiliated to “Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF)”, New Delhi. It’s comes in to force in the year 2005. During these five years tenure, we found that the “Taste of Tourism” in India is drastically changing year-on-year basis; to meet the increasing demand in Tour and Travel Industry of the era, we built “A B E L I A” . DISASTER MANAGEMENT <ul><li>Duration: 5Days Time: 5 Hrs a Day </li></ul><ul><li>Mode of Teaching: English or Hindi </li></ul><ul><li>Process: Theory, Practical Demonstration, Individual Practical, Examination and Certification. </li></ul><ul><li>Course Coverage: Introduction of Different Equipments and their usage, </li></ul><ul><li>Search & Rescue ( Self & Partner), FIRST AID, Building Artificial </li></ul><ul><li>Stretchers, Team Building & Leadership Class. </li></ul>
  8. 8. DISASTER MANAGEMENT DAY WISE BREAK UP Day 1: Introduction and Induction along with the basics of course. History of S & R and importance of Disaster Management in life. Day 2: Theoretical, demonstration and practical classes on Fire, earthquake and human disaster. Day 3: Classes on First aid, artificial stretcher, usage of equipment, Rescue signal with practical and demonstration. Day 4: Hardcore practical on ascending and descending on any surface (rock, wall, building etc.) Day 5: Practical and theory examination, physical test, fun activities and finally conclusion with grade results.   Total course timing is 25 hours for 5 days. Instructor ratio would be 8:1 that means 1 instructor for every 8 candidates.
