Fast food presentation

  1. 1. Fast Food Our documentary will be looking at the increase in fast food chains and the impact its having on the younger generation.
  2. 2. Target Audience <ul><li>This documentary will be targeted at parents, as many parents are feeding their children fast food as it’s a quick and easy option. It will show them the big impact it’s having on their children’s health and encourage them to change their ways. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Location <ul><li>Our documentary will be filmed in a fast food chain to show the increase in customers. We will also film in a house where we can show a family eating fast food. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Modes: <ul><li>Expository- We will try to persuade the audience that people should stop eating vast amounts of fast food. </li></ul><ul><li>Observational – We will be filming people as they order food at a fast food place. </li></ul><ul><li>Participatory- We will become directly involved with the subject as we will be in front of the camera when we interview people. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Costumes <ul><li>Natural- People will wear their everyday ordinary clothes. This includes the uniform worn by fast food workers, i.e. McDonalds. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Props <ul><li>We will be looking further into different types of fast food to see what has been put in to them. </li></ul><ul><li>We also will dissect a burger or chicken nugget to see what is actually inside this food. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Sound <ul><li>Some music will be emotive and some will be dramatic. Diegetic sound will be used as we will film people being served at a fast food chain. </li></ul><ul><li>We will also use selective sound, by emphasising the noises of certain things. For example the noise of the till at the counter of a fast food chain, or the noise of doors opening and closing. </li></ul>

Editing <ul><li>We will speed up certain scenes, for example the outside of a fast food restaurant to emphasise how popular and busy they are. </li></ul><ul><li>We will use jump cuts to emphasise a change in subject or to create a dramatic mood. </li></ul><ul><li>We will use slow editing during emotive parts of the documentary and fast editing to create tension. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Impact on Audience <ul><li>We hope to create the impact of how eating too much fast food is very unhealthy and especially for the younger generation. </li></ul><ul><li>Also to show the audience what exactly it is they’re eating when they order their fast food meals. </li></ul>
