  6. 6. How to speed reading helps us: Rapid reading save time. Rapid reading save time. We can complete our routine reading like news paper or magazine. So that we can read other books also in our busy life.  Rapid reading makes for greater efficiency. Getting through our reading faster makes us better able to cope with the demands of modern business. To become a efficient employee of the company.  The less time spent on routine matters, the more time available for policy making. If we are employer or executive we can complete paper work as fast as possible and devote more time on essential activities of policy making.
  7. 7. Continue…..  Rapid reading broadens your horizon. It broads our mental horizon by putting within our reach a greater range or variety of matter.  Rapid reading helps effective speaking. It enables us to gather more speedily the material us need for public speaking or conversation.  Rapid reading helps you to pass examination. If we studying for examination it allows us to get through our syllabus with greater ease.  Rapid reading improves your understanding. we read more we can get more knowledge ultimately it improves our understanding.

It act as a general mental tonic, brushing up our knowledge, exercising our intellect and keeping our mentally on our toes.
  9. 9. Continue….. In the book, after finishing one exercise is given the chapter to check our memory, how much we are remembered. In this exercise, some sentences are given and we have to put mark on those sentences which is from chapter and we can verify the answers from the book. Answers are given at the last page of the book.
  10. 10. How to measure our reading speed?  Suppose you read an extract of 1000 word in 2 minutes 20 seconds.  Converting this time to seconds gives 140 seconds.  We then divide 1000 by 140 and multiply the result by 60 (second), as follows: 140 1 1000 X 60 = 3000 7 = 429 word / minute
