  1. 1. UNIT PLANNINGUNIT MAP: A unit map is a list of the units to be undertaken within a course ofstudy. The unit map also shows when the units will be taught during the period of thecourse. See example below. Unit map is a list of unit titles for the course. The bar indicates when the units will be taughtRENAMING A UNIT: To rename a unit click on the unit title in the unit map. The fullunit plan will appear. At the top of the unit choose the ‘Rename’ tab to rename yourunit.UNIT NAMING CONVENTIONS: For the purpose of developing the units, indicatethe unit title followed by the author’s initials and yr. the unit wasdeveloped. e.g.Introductions (RB 12/13). Also see example below. It is assumed that units will berevised over time as they are used. As such there is NO need to change the date inthe unit name to indicate the yr. the unit was revised. The Unit Naming Conventions; Unit title followed by the author’s name and year the unit was developed.
