2. 1) Who are the gypsies?
-The gypsies are simply people who unite some customs and
traditions of many years ago.
-Its origin is Indian.
-It is the most important ethnic minority, because it has its own flag,
language and anthem.
-They have always been dedicated to trade and blacksmithing.

3. 2) Where the gypsies live?
-The gypsies are distributed all over the world.
-Mainly there are many gypsies in countries
such Romania, Spain, Bulgaria,etc.
-In Spain, the place where there are many
gypsies is Andalucia, in the south.
-The 8th of April is the International day of the
gypsy town.

5. 3) History about gypsies.
-It has been a town very persecuted town for
more tan 500 years.
-They prevented them from staying in the
cities, because “they was different people”.
-The Catholic Kings prevented the gypsies from
having their customs and also prohibited them
speaking their language.
-In 1789, in “the big raid”, 15000 gypsies were
aprehended and many died.

6. 3) History about gypsies.
-After many years, the story changed.
-The gypsies today are free to continue
with their customs.
-They can speak their language freely too.

-After many years, the story changed.
-The gypsies today are free to continue with their
customs.
-They can speak their language freely too.
-In the society, there is still a lot of discrimination
towards gypsies, although there are aslo people who
treat them the same as te rest.

-At present the gypsies are more included in society.
-There are many young university students.
-In Extremadura for example, there are chemical gypsies,
engineers, teachers, politicians, lawyers, etc.
-In Villafranca de los Barros, gypsies continue their as well
as the rest of society.

-I´m an engineer in agricultural and food industries.
-I´m studying higher cycle of Laboratory and analysis and
quality control.

-President of the Association of Young gypsies of
Extremadura with state scope.
-I am part of the Regional Council of Gypsies in education.
- I work as an educational promoter in Villafranca de los
Barros, helping to impove the educational reality of
gypsies.

12. 6) Conclusion.
-The gypsy culture has contributed a lot to society
(words, music, values…)
I´m proud of being a gypsy and of my customs.
-The gypsy town has envolved a lot.
-We mustn´t judge people without first knowing
them.
