  4. 4. <ul><li>Learners will be asked to: </li></ul><ul><li>read through the information provided on my.TAFE ( orientation checklist ) </li></ul><ul><li>subscribe to the forum and announcements </li></ul><ul><li>participate in weekly tutorials (online and/or face-to-face) </li></ul><ul><li>book in for a test when they have finished studying each module </li></ul>June 7, 2009 Copyright - Robyn Dennis 2008
  5. 5. <ul><li>The tests have been supplied by the Australian ICDL Distributors, Exin South Pacific and cannot be modified . </li></ul><ul><li>Each student must complete one test per module in 45 minutes . </li></ul><ul><li>Each module has four different versions of the test and the test is randomly allocated by the ICDL course facilitator just prior to the test. </li></ul>June 7, 2009 Copyright - Robyn Dennis 2008
  6. 6. <ul><li>The test for Module 1 - Concepts of IT is paper-based and contains multiple-choice questions. These could be added to my.TAFE as an online assessment which would save marking time. </li></ul><ul><li>The tests for Modules 2 to 7 are supplied as paper-based but is completed online in whatever application is being tested (e.g. Microsoft Word). </li></ul><ul><li>All tests must be supervised by a suitably qualified staff member. </li></ul>June 7, 2009 Copyright - Robyn Dennis 2008
  7. 7. <ul><li>All study materials are accessed via a computer using the CD-ROM supplied when the student registers. </li></ul><ul><li>The students will be able to study </li></ul><ul><ul><li>at home (if they have a suitable PC) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>at their work PC or </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>by booking into one of the computers in the library </li></ul></ul><ul><li>My.TAFE will be used as the delivery platform </li></ul>June 7, 2009 Copyright - Robyn Dennis 2008
