  2. 2. Separating White Light <ul><li>As white light passes through a prism, shorter wavelengths refract more than longer wavelengths and colors separate. </li></ul><ul><li>This is called dispersion </li></ul>
  3. 3. Color of objects <ul><li>An objects color depends on what it is made of and on the color of light that hits it. </li></ul><ul><li>Primary colors are Red , Green , and Blue . When combined in varying amounts they can create all possible colors </li></ul><ul><li>Secondary Colors are Cyan , Yellow , and Magenta . They are a combination of two primary colors. </li></ul><ul><li>Complimentary colors of light are two colors that combine to form white light </li></ul>
  4. 4. Mixing Pigments <ul><li>Pigment is a material that absorbs some colors of light and reflects other colors. </li></ul><ul><li>Primary pigment colors are Cyan yellow and magenta. </li></ul>
