So have been been inspired by your most liked podcast and now you are thinking about creating your own podcast, but you're not sure how to go about doing it. In this article I'm going to cover all the equipment and resources needed to get up and running.

  2. 2. So youve been inspired by your favourite podcast and now you want to create your ownpodcast, but you are not sure how to go about doing it. Below Im going to cover all theequipment and resources you will need to prepare your podcast at lightening speed.Resources1) A computer or laptop to edit the raw recording and put it on the internet.2) A microphone to record the podcast for your podcast.3) A audio editing suite, to enable add, delete and change parts of your of your audio.4) A hosting service or website that you can upload your podcast to.5) A RSS feedThere are many ways to make a podcast using the things above, now I will show one ofmultiple ways you can go about it.Having made certain you have a laptop and mic, you need to download an audio editingprogram. Here I will use Audacity. Whilst downloading audacity, make sure to alsodownload a mp3 encoder, that way will save the podcast in mp3 format. Be sure to save themp3 encoder in the plugins folder of the.Edit Your PodcastThe moment you have all the audio files for the podcast, it is time to edit. This is anopportunity to add introductions and outros jingles and promotions. Make sure to removenoise using the in built features of audacity to make the podcast sound better and also makeit the best experience possible for those that are listening to your podcasts. Be sure to gothrough all the audio and remove the blank spots on the podcast. Also use the normalisefunction to smooth out any audio spikes that might be present. 2
  3. 3. Preparing and PublishingNow you have to save the finished podcast and add relevant tags. If you want like to createmore tags check out sites such as mp3tag which will let you do this. Now you have thecomplete podcast finished, you need to upload online. At this stage you have to find anstream hosting provider that you can upload the podcast to.
