    Modern, digital recording technology is far more fragile than older technologies.
    A number of organizations are addressing the problems of preserving and sharing memories.
    None appears to be pursuing comprehensive solutions either for providers or end-users.
    Need for an overarching organization
    Transcends individual organizations,
    Does not compete, but rather supports each, and is
    World-wide in scope
