    1. 1. How I Used Technology to Enhance One of My Lessons in the Practicum
    2. 2. <ul><li>Lesson objective: Students will share with a partner one thing they learned about weather </li></ul><ul><li>Use technology to keep the students’ interest in the lesson </li></ul><ul><li>Introduce pictures of weather the students may not have experienced before </li></ul><ul><li>Include a fun activity that has to do with weather </li></ul>

    4. 4. Normal Weather <ul><li>Here is one of the slides from my presentation </li></ul><ul><li>The students looked at normal weather and talked about normal weather for Utah </li></ul>
    5. 5. Extreme Weather <ul><li>We also looked at different kinds of extreme weather </li></ul><ul><li>Lightning was one example I used for extreme weather </li></ul><ul><li>The students loved the pictures that were in my slideshow </li></ul>
    6. 6. As I showed the slideshow, students were able to tell me which types of weather they had heard of before. Most students had never really heard of hurricanes before.
    7. 7. <ul><li>Mostly teacher use </li></ul><ul><li>Students were involved by viewing pictures </li></ul><ul><li>All students had easy access </li></ul><ul><li>Promoted student involvement </li></ul><ul><li>Most effective for picture viewing </li></ul><ul><li>Creates motivation </li></ul><ul><li>Keeps students engaged </li></ul><ul><li>Motivational, but also necessary for all to see, more interactive </li></ul><ul><li>Focus was weather </li></ul><ul><li>Although created excitement, students learned intended material </li></ul><ul><li>Was fun for kids </li></ul><ul><li>Allowed access for all students </li></ul><ul><li>Very visually pleasing </li></ul><ul><li>Not easier without technology </li></ul><ul><li>More interactive learning </li></ul>
