About Rafael Maranon is the IoT product manager for all platform independent software running in all Cisco products. At the Network Operating System Technology Group (NOSTG) Rafael develops the strategic vision for expanding the scope of Internet of Things (IoT), Machine to Machine (M2M), Data Management and Analytics, Device Sensor, New Cisco Catalyst 6800 Instant Access and IPv6 First Hop Security (video www.cisco.com/go/fhs) Before joining Cisco Rafael obtained a S.M. in Engineering-and-Management from MIT’s System Design and Management (SDM). At MIT Rafael worked as a Research Assistant in the Lean Advancement Initiative (LAI) at the Engineering System Division.
