What is an electron
The number of protons in an atom.
What is the atomic number
A pure substance that is made of only one kind of atom.
What is an element
An element that conducts heat and electricity well.
What is a metal
A property of metal that allows it to be bent and rolled into sheets.
What is malleability
All atoms of the same element have this in common.
What is the same number of protons
Used to describe the method of organizing elements by their atomic number.
What is the periodic table
The substance formed from the atoms of two or more elements.
What is a compound
A compound the reacts easily with other substances and turns blue litmus paper red.
What is an acid
The strength of acids and bases are measured by this.
What is the PH Scale
Equal strength acids and bases do this to each other.
What is neutralize
Three uses of acids and bases in manufacturing.
What are foods, medicines, fertilizers, explosives or dyes
A chemical property of being able to burn.
What is combustibility or flammability
The change of a substance from a gas to a liquid.
What is condensation
The amount of matter in an object.
What is mass
The temperature of a liquid at which it changes to a gas.
What is the boiling point
The ability of a substance to be dissolved.
What is solubility
