  • Hi everyone, were going to get started now. The first thing we need to do is for everyone to turn your chairs around so you don’t get a sore neck. ( wait ) My name is ( your name) and I’d like to welcome all of you here tonight.
  • First let’s get the legal stuff out of the way. (Go through bullet points on the slide.)

  • Thank You – I’d like to welcome all of you here tonight. Let me start out by telling you how things are going to flow tonight and how long I’m going to talk for. I’m going to talk for about 55 to 60 minutes, and I've got a lot of things to cover. As I cover the various topics tonight you will probably have some questions as we go. I want you to hold those questions until were done and I will be coming to each table to answer your questions individually during dinner. What I want you to do is write your questions down on the back of white sheet, don’t write them on the worksheet ( hold up worksheet) because we will be collecting these later. Now if you have any beepers or cell phones please turn them off or on vibrate so we don’t disturb our neighbors, and lets get started.

  • NOTE TO PRESENTER: You must have and Elder Law and Trust Attorney available to refer your clients too. You must also have a CPA that you can refer your clients too. If you do not have a relationship with an Attorney and CPA you must delete this slide from the presentation. Tell the audience where your office is located. Read slide

  • Who’s just back from or getting ready to go on a vacation? (Group Interaction- Talk to the individual about their vacation. Where did they go, what did they do, did it require any planning.) Why do we spend more time planning our vacations than our Financial Future? Vacations are more fun, plus we know when were going to leave and when were coming back. When does our financial future begin? It has already begun. When does it end? Not even after you die. If we spend a little time planning our financial future we may get a better result and will be able to take a few more vacations.
  • You can’t gamble with your finances. We advise our clients in many phases of investing
  • (Hold up Worksheet) When you came in ( assistants name) gave you this worksheet, if you haven't done this yet please fill out the top section with your name and address. Now as I go through these different topics in the middle section, if any of these are important to you check them off on the sheet. So if you feel as though your paying to much in taxes, check off- How to lower my taxes. If you own any mutual funds you should check off- mutual funds. As I talk about something that I see in my day to day practice that is very important I will tell you and if it applies to you, then you can check that off.
