Our Current Reality <ul><li>97% of the students leaving the School System are Hispanics and African-Americans. </li></ul><ul><li>72% of those 97% are below the poverty rate. 80% of that 97% are families lead my a single mother’s. </li></ul><ul><li>The rate of teen pregnancy among Blacks and Hispanics youth is twists the rate of white youth. </li></ul><ul><li>Unemployment rate among blacks youths and Hispanics youths are 34%. </li></ul><ul><li>The Blacks and Hispanics have rate of HIV and AIDS infection five times higher than higher that their white counter part. </li></ul><ul><li>25%-40% of are students are in constant mobility. </li></ul><ul><li>25% of are children life in under the line of poverty. </li></ul><ul><li>Blacks and Hispanics males are seven times more likely to be murdered that their white counterparts.. </li></ul><ul><li>Blacks account for 18% of the total U.S population, but their account for 58% prison population. </li></ul><ul><li>Hispanics account for the 16% of the US population, but their account for their 47% of prison population. </li></ul><ul><li>The average performance for Blacks and Hispanics students on the SAT IS 50 points lower than that of Whites. </li></ul><ul><li>U.S Census Bureau (2000) </li></ul><ul><li>. </li></ul>
