RIPE NCC

RIPE is one of the five Regional Internet Registries that help govern and coordinate the allocation and distribution of Internet number resources such as IP addresses and Autonomous System Numbers on a regional level. RIPE is an open membership community that develops policies through consensus-based discussions and decisions. The RIPE Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) implements the policies decided by the RIPE community and provides services related to number resources and data about the Internet. The document encourages participation in the RIPE community to help shape policies and the future of the Internet.
