The Annual Children Rights Media Awards, is the most
 prestigious running competition in the region.

The awards, an initiative of Bubble Nest International
 (BNI),seeks to reward journalists who excel in bringing
 to the limelight issues that affect children both
 positively and negatively.

The awards,
  aim at rewarding journalists who have highlighted
 children issues in a more balanced, broad,
 comprehensive and objective manner demonstrating
 journalistic ability and integrity.

The Competition is open to Kenyan professional journalists
  (including, but not limited to, freelancers) working on the
  Kenya media organizations or media organizations
  headquartered in Kenya that produce a printed publication or
  broadcast through an electronic medium (television
  broadcaster; radio station) principally targeted at and received
  by the Kenyan audience.

1. Best Children Rights Media              9 .News Articles Award
   Article ( Journalist of the year.)          (a)PRINT GENERAL NEWS AWARD
2. Children’s Mouth Piece Award                (b)RADIO      – GENERAL NEWS
3. Most Interactive Award                      (c)TELEVISION – GENERAL NEWS
4. Children Photography Award                                – NEWS BULLETIN
5. Most Creative Award                     10. Features Articles Award
6. Most Entertaining Award                 11. Health Award
7. The Most Educative features. Award      12 .Human Interest Award
8. Children in Armed Conflict Award        13.Economics & Finance Award
                                           14. Environment Award

Judging and adjudication usually takes place on the first week of
  September by a panel of eminent, independent judges with
  knowledge and experience of journalistic practices in Kenya.
Panel members cannot vote on work entered by their organization,
  employees or family members.
Should the quality of entries fall below the standard required, the
  judges reserve the right not to select a finalist.
The judges’ decision is final and binding.
Entrants have until 31st August 2010 to submit in their works.

   (Please note that all the media stations shall be invited for media
   coverage.)

   journalists who go an extra mile, to highlight issues affecting our young
   ones, recognition.

The 2nd annual Children Rights Media Awards will be marked at
 a dinner gala ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi
 on 25th September 2010.
The event will be graced by esteemed members of the society
 who have been instrumental on issues relating to children
 cutting across the Media, Corporate,NGOs and the Church.
