One of the most original and therefore well-recognised work among Laswell's vast catalogue. A group of
artists read pieces of the story of Hassan Ibn Sabbah, a legendary outcast and chief of nomadic
assassins in the ancient Middle East. The voices are amazing (think Iggy Pop for starters), and backed
up with Laswell's groovy bass and drums give you one great an experience in music. Spoken word
ambient pieces are usually risky, certainly not for a casual listening, however this one is worth as many
attempts as required to get the feeling of its humid, illusionary atmosphere - all the hints are there.
