  5. 15. <ul><li>4 hours per weekday in a local organization. Typical placements are: </li></ul><ul><li>Corazon Contento : working with people with down syndrome & developmental disabilities  </li></ul><ul><li>Carita Feliz : teaching occupational skills for people of all ages </li></ul><ul><li>Hogar Alegria : girls ’ orphanage </li></ul><ul><li>Hogar La Providencia :  retirement home </li></ul><ul><li>Hogar Cristo Sana : boys ’ orphanage </li></ul><ul><li>Hogar Madre Albertina:  girls ’ orphanage </li></ul><ul><li>Sagrado Corazon : public school for impoverished children, supported by donations </li></ul>
  6. 17. Volunteering at a school for children with disabilities. Helped the children with art projects from 2:30 – 4:00 and then played soccer and talked with them from 4:00 – 5:30.

Must have cumulative GPA of 3.4 or above. </li></ul><ul><li>Cost : </li></ul><ul><li>$2800-2900, estimated </li></ul><ul><li>University Honors students will receive an $800 grant, making the cost $2100-2200 </li></ul><ul><li>Includes housing, 3 meals daily with host family (other meals away from host family at own expense), two cultural excursions, two organized tour programs, airfare, ground transfers </li></ul>
