• Personal skills; mainly F&B training
• 19+ career changer; retraining; unemployed
• Low skilled; reactive; entry level; taster
• Seasonal staff; event support; busy periods
• Create a pool of staff/labour for NEHA to “fish in”
• Access via the College who will manage data
• 3 weeks in College classroom (with hotel visits)
• 1 week placement in appropriate work dept
• Hotel – support a visit; work shadow; work placement; interview
• Some will get a job; some refer back to JCP; some continue training

• FE solution
• 16 to 18 yrs
• Level 2 or 3 (Level 2 are “D” grades; Level 3 are “C” grades)
• Minimum 4 GCSE’s – alternative to A levels
• NEHA branded
• 600 hours – all depts
• Course Sept to March then industry 3 months
• Promoted in schools
• More college, less hotels – begin when more confident
• Still do hotel masterclasses + work shadowing + visits
• Start Sept 2015 – for future supervisors/rising talent
• Qualification is City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Contemporary Hospitality

• Awarding body is College and NEHA
• Full time 2 year course; A level background; high level individual
• Application through UCAS
• Start Sept 2015
• Year 1 practical; Year 2 strategic
• Option for “enrichment/enhancement add ons” – spa, tourism,
patisserie etc
• One off modules for existing staff in hotels
• 6 month placement in hotel depts in one or more hotels
