Israel didn‟t know it, but God began to move… Daniel 10:13… But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me12
For twenty one days the angels fought:Daniel kept praying and waiting for ananswerHe kept waiting for the seals to beloosed and the book to openHe kept waiting for the revelation thathad been kept a mystery – when wouldIsrael be free??
For twenty one days the angels fought:Israel weptIsrael PrayedJeremiah and his people cried out toreturn to Zion, to the fields their fatherDavid bought & that Jeremiah hadbought BEFORE they went in tocaptivity… Jeremiah 32:6-15
Take theseevidences, thisevidence ofthe purchase, both which issealed, andthis evidencewhich is open;and put themin an earthenvessel, thatthey maycontinue manydays.Jer 32:14
The Sealed Book - ScrollJeremiah was a TYPE of Christ: Aftercaptivity in Babylon, he reclaims His purchasedpossession…With the taking of the scroll, Christ has beencommitted the lordship over the world (1 Peter3:22; Philippians 2:9-11). What the Devilpretentiously offered to Jesus is now rightfullyassumed (Matthew 4:8).The scroll and the finalization of the redemptiveprocess would thus signify the rightful transfer ofdominion back to Christ – “the kingdoms of thisworld are become the kingdoms of our Lord…”(Revelation 11:15). 16
The Kinsman RedeemerThis roll is a legal document after the ancient form andcustom (See Jeremiah 32:6-15). Jesus has the part ofthe near kinsman (Leviticus 25:49) and ours is the part ofthe one having lost his inheritance. The Redeemer must be both worthy, willing and able toloose the seals, reveal the contents, clear the title andrestore the inheritance to its lawful heirs.Jesus is qualified and competent. He is willing (“I lay mylife down…”) He is worthy because He is the sinlessLamb once slain. He is able being the Lion of Judah.(Revelation4:9-10)Thus this whole scene in Revelation 5 is a scene ofJesus fulfilling the part of Kinsman Redeemer. 17
The Final Redemptive ActThe ceremony is a solemn and formal occasionthat consummates the right of redemption. It isperformed before the elders of Israel‟s twelvetribes and the elders of Christendom‟s twelveApostles. We MUST visualize this scene, this final scenein Heaven: 18
The Final Redemptive ActThe ceremony is a solemn and formal occasion thatconsummates the right of redemption. It is performedbefore the elders of Israel‟s twelve tribes and theelders of Christendom‟s twelve Apostles. We MUST visualize this scene, this final scene in Heaven:
Revelation 4 - I was in the spirit: and, behold, a thronewas set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3Andhe that sat was to look upon like a jasper and asardine stone: and there was a rainbow round aboutthe throne, in sight like unto an emerald.4And round about the throne were four and twentyseats: and upon the seats I saw four and twentyelders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they hadon their heads crowns of gold.5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings andthunderings and voices: and there were seven lampsof fire burning before the throne, which are the sevenSpirits of God.
Revelation 4 - 6And before the throne there was asea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of thethrone, and round about the throne, were four beastsfull of eyes before and behind.7And the first beast was like a lion, and the secondbeast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as aman, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.8And the four beasts had each of them six wingsabout him; and they were full of eyes within: and theyrest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy,LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is tocome.
Revelation 5 - 1And I saw in the right hand of himthat sat on the throne a book written within and onthe backside, sealed with seven seals.2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loudvoice, Who is worthy to open the book, and toloose the seals thereof?3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither underthe earth, was able to open the book, neither tolook thereon.4And I wept much, because no man was foundworthy to open and to read the book, neither tolook thereon.
Revelation 5:5 - And one of theelders saith unto me, Weep not:behold, the Lion of the tribe ofJudah, the Root of David, hathprevailed to open the book, and toloose the seven seals thereof.
Revelation 5 - 6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midstof the throne and of the four beasts, and in themidst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had beenslain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which arethe seven Spirits of God sent forth into all theearth.7And he came and took the book out of the righthand of him that sat upon the throne.8And when he had taken the book, the fourbeasts and four and twenty elders fell down beforethe Lamb...
The Final Redemptive ActWithout a worthy Kinsman Redeemer to perform thefinal act, all was lost…And all heaven wept…The LAMB leftthe mercy seat, stood, andloosed the seals!!
