Montgomery Bus Boycott Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white man. MLK helped lead a bus boycott. (People refused to ride the buses). Eventually, segregated buses were declared unconstitutional.
The March on Washington August 28, 1963 – for Jobs and Freedom Fighting for the Civil Rights Movement in America. MLK, Jr. focused on non-violence. Equal rights for everyone, no matter their race (skin color). Also, wanted an end to segregation in schools.

Martin Luther King, Jr. won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.In 1968, MLK was assassinated inMemphis, Tennessee (TN). He was only 39 years old.
