Scallop and Mussel visit Tralee.

  2. 2. <ul><li>Have a look at this note! </li></ul><ul><li>It says “ TRALEE “ </li></ul><ul><li>Look at the map, Tralee is near here. </li></ul><ul><li>Let’s go there. </li></ul>TRALEE
  3. 3. TRALEE <ul><li>When they arrived in </li></ul><ul><li>Tralee they discovered </li></ul><ul><li>that there’s a festival. </li></ul>Ohhh!
  4. 4. In Tralee they meet Tara. She tell them about the Celtic Festival. Mussel and Scallop tell her about Galicia and its celtics festivals. Tara invites them to spend the day with her family.
  5. 5. <ul><li>At the end of the day they find another note. They ask Tara about ADARE and they decided to visit it. </li></ul>A D A R E Let’s go!
  6. 6. ADARE <ul><li>What beautiful houses! </li></ul><ul><li>Let`s ask that boy about them. </li></ul><ul><li>Excuse me, What are these houses? </li></ul><ul><li>They’re “thatched cottages”. </li></ul>Thatched cottages!
  7. 7. They are really old. OH! It’s lunch time. I’m hungry! Come with me, we have Irish Stew for lunch

  9. 9. Irish Stew <ul><li>What’s Irish stew? </li></ul><ul><li>It’s a typical meal in Ireland. It’s made with lamb, bacon, potatoes carrots and </li></ul><ul><li>onions. </li></ul>Yummy!
  10. 10. While they’re having lunch they hear somethig about “hurling “ on TV and they ask about it. What’s this?
  11. 11. <ul><li>Hurling is a very popular sport in Ireland. </li></ul><ul><li>There are two teams of fifteen players, each player has a hurley- it’s like a stick-There is a ball “sliothar”and there are also two goals.The players have to take the “sliothar” to the goal on the hurley but they only can walk four steps with it. Each goal is three points. </li></ul>
  12. 12. LIMERICK <ul><li>Let`s go to Limerick and watch a hurling match </li></ul><ul><li>Ok, let’s go! </li></ul>
  13. 13. <ul><li>After the match, they find another note while they´re walking: </li></ul><ul><li>A belt and a castle, </li></ul><ul><li>Bunratty Castle. </li></ul><ul><li>They decide to go there next morning. </li></ul>BUNRATTY CASTLE
  14. 14. This castle was built in 1425. Here says that there are real medieval banquets with music and songs.
  15. 15. FOLK PARK <ul><li>The Bunratty folk park is a living reconstruction of the houses and enviroment of Ireland of over a century ago. </li></ul>
  16. 16. <ul><li>Look it`s dressed with the clothes we saw in the notes we’ve found. </li></ul><ul><li>Let`s go in and ask the Shoemaker. </li></ul>
  17. 17. <ul><li>This is the Leprechaun. </li></ul>Who is he? They usually take the form of old men who enjoy partaking in mischief. Their trade is that of a cobbler or shoemaker . They are said to be very rich, having many treasure crocks buried during war-time. According to legend, if anyone keeps an eye fixed upon one, he cannot escape, but the moment the eye is withdrawn he vanishes.
  18. 18. MOHER Another note! It says “MOHER” Let’s take a bus and go there.
  19. 19. The bus stopped at “The Burren”. There they saw a limestone landscape and they visited “ Poulnabone” a megalitic tomb.
  20. 20. When the rain falls it dissolves the limestone and creates caves.This is the biggest one “ Aillwee Cave”.
  21. 21. CLIFFS OF MOHER Yes, it’s amazing! Let`s go for a walk. This is fantastic!
