At Cobh´s Harbour. </li></ul><ul><li>  How nice! </li></ul><ul><li>  Long time ago many Irishmen set off to America from this port. They had to emigrate because they had no food and many people died because of the potatoe famine </li></ul>
  2. 2. <ul><li>And that tower? </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>That´s Saint Colman´s Cathedral. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>I like those ships. </li></ul><ul><li>   </li></ul><ul><li>We must go. What are you doing? </li></ul><ul><li>  I must carry these salmons to Cork. </li></ul><ul><li>  Cork? What´s that? </li></ul><ul><li>  It´s a city. Would you like to come with me? </li></ul><ul><li>  O.K. </li></ul><ul><li>  Where are you from? </li></ul><ul><li>  We´re from Spain, from Galicia. </li></ul><ul><li>  I´ve heard Galicia looks like Ireland. </li></ul><ul><li>. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>

What´s that? </li></ul><ul><li>  It´s a church, St. Ann´s Shandon. </li></ul><ul><li>  And what´s that on the top? </li></ul><ul><li>  It´s a weather vane, it´s a salmon! </li></ul><ul><li>  The tower has got four clocks! </li></ul><ul><li>  That´s right. We call it the four-faced liar. </li></ul>CORK

Butter is very important in Ireland, we cook everything with butter. </li></ul><ul><li>  In Galicia we use oil. </li></ul><ul><li>  Saint Brigid made butter in Ireland 1500 years ago. </li></ul><ul><li>  Saint Brigid? Who´s that? </li></ul><ul><li>  She´s a saint. We celebrate her day on February 1 st -when warm season starts. </li></ul><ul><li>  What do you do in Ireland that day? </li></ul><ul><li>  We make crosses with plants and put them above the doors of the houses. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>This is Saint Patrick Street. </li></ul><ul><li>  And that building over there? </li></ul><ul><li>  It´s the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery. </li></ul><ul><li>  What can you see there? </li></ul><ul><li>  You can see many Irish artists´ pictures and some beautiful stained-glass windows. Do you know James Barry? He´s an important Irish painter, and here they have some of his paintings. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Look! That´s St. Finbarr´s Cathedral and over there is the National Monument in Grand Parade street. </li></ul><ul><li>  That´s beautiful! </li></ul>

The Chieftains are playing! </li></ul><ul><li>  The chiefteins of the story? </li></ul><ul><li>  No, the Chiefteins are an Irish band, they play folk music. Imust stop here.Why don´t you go to Kinsale?. </li></ul><ul><li>O.K. Let´s go! </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>This is Kinsale. </li></ul><ul><li>  What´s that tower? </li></ul><ul><li>It´s Desmond Castle. Here the global wine trade took place. </li></ul><ul><li>  In Galicia we have </li></ul><ul><li>good wines. </li></ul><ul><li>  I like that smell! </li></ul>KINSALE
  11. 11. <ul><li>They go into a place where an old woman is cooking. </li></ul><ul><li>  Here there is a Festival of Fine Food. </li></ul><ul><li>  Can we try it? </li></ul><ul><li>Look this is colcanon. </li></ul><ul><li>Mm! It tastes delicious.And that? </li></ul><ul><li>That´s brown bread. </li></ul><ul><li>Can I have a glass of water? </li></ul><ul><li>In Ireland when we eat we drink coffee or tea, we never drink water. </li></ul><ul><li>I prefer tea then! </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>

A castle! </li></ul><ul><li>  It´s Blarney Castle. </li></ul><ul><li>  What are they doing? </li></ul><ul><li>They´re kissing the stone of Eloquence to get “ the gift of the gab ” . From here you can see Blarney House. </li></ul><ul><li>  I like Ireland a lot! </li></ul>BLARNEY
  13. 13. <ul><li>Now they´re in Killarney. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>Look at those cars. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>They´re Tilburies. </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>How nice! It´s a funny transport! </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>Here you can see the Museum of Irish Transport. It´s got bycicles, motorbikes, fire engines,... </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>KILLARNEY
  14. 14. <ul><li>Look! What are they playing ? </li></ul><ul><li>  They´re playing Gaelic Football. Each team has got 15 players and they can touch the ball with feet and hands. </li></ul><ul><li>The ball is smaller than football´s. </li></ul><ul><li>  Yes, here we prefer this sport to socker-a similar sport to football. </li></ul>
  15. 15. <ul><li>They decide to visit the lakes the lakes. </li></ul><ul><li>Let´s go! </li></ul><ul><li>These are the lakes: Muckross Lake, Upper Lake and Lough Leane. </li></ul><ul><li>They are very nice. Look at those water steps! </li></ul><ul><li>It´s Torc Waterfall. And we can see also Muckross House. </li></ul><ul><li>I miss the sea! Are we very far from the sea? </li></ul><ul><li>No, I must go to Dingle, and there you´ll see the sea. </li></ul><ul><li>Let´s go! </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>

It´s a dolphin, it lives here since 1983 and it´s very friendly. </li></ul><ul><li>  Hello Fungie! </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul>DINGLE
