7. 7.

Everything has changed

We know too much

We are so connected…

 8. 8.

And everything will change…

How?

???

 9. 9.

Charity can’t get clean water

to people in hostile places

(dirty water, the world’s biggest killer)

Neither can governments

But they can buy Coca Cola

 10. 10. £ Ç√ ££££££££££££££££ And gave it away over here… Charity used to look something like this… Ç√ You made it over here Business: For Profit Charity: Not For Profit
 11. 11.

A system of exploitation

to fund

a system of dependency?

 12. 12. “ It’s Business” Hat “ Work Life Balance” Hat Charity Hat Work Hat
 13. 13.

Everything is changing

We all know too much…

… and so do they

We are too close, too connected…

 14. 14. Making it is not exploitative and sharing it is intrinsic Social Enterprises New ideas… Gathering momentum…
 15. 15. Everyone is included: Employees Investors Suppliers Customers Communities – all part of it
 16. 16.

Everything is changing

Governments are changing

They used to work a bit like this…

 17. 17. Your ££££ his problem Mr Taxman Took your money over here Mr State Sorted out your problems over here
 18. 18.

… so does that mean it’s not my problem anymore?

… and that’s a lot of problems for him.

 19. 19.

It’s

too

BIG
 20. 20.

So Mr State is starting to move in this direction:

Mr State invests for Social Returns

… where he sees communities taking action for themselves

… The monolith will break up

 21. 21. Mission

Remember how it used to work?

… That was a long time ago

 22. 22. Us to them Them to them Us to us And them to us Busting child prostitutes out of brothels in Bangalore Fighting for the rights of Street Children in Kampala Waging war on human trafficking in Dubai Providing a half-way home for addicts in Los Angeles Making micro-finance available to disadvantaged entrepreneurs in Bristol Provision of sustainable ‘business in a box’ for women in Mumbai Putting up starving rejected asylum seekers in Lancashire Empowering polio victims through co-operative employment in Dar es Salaam Sex education for youth in London Now it’s more like this…
 23. 23. … it somehow came to be seen as this: Faith is changing too … “ Right-ness” Rules Truth Certainty “ Wrong-ness” Indiscipline Falsehood Confusion
 24. 24. But to many, it looks more like this: Journey journey journey journey journey journey journey journey journey Truth Falsehood Rules Indiscipline Confusion Certainty Right Wrong
 25. 25.

The world is changing…

… Compartmentalisation only leads to:

Alienation

In

justice
 26. 26. … and certainty leads to: Absolutism Exclusion Alienation TERROR
 27. 27.

We are already in a new age,

Progress made it happen…

 28. 28.

… and it changed everything…

Charity

Business

Government

Mission

Faith

So will Ethiopia have a famine in 2025?

And whose problem would it be?
