 Decision by 2/3 of the committee
 Met 5 times, heard Allen rep, Rodgers rep
 Visited church to hear a Rodgers organ
 Both Allen and Rodgers organs played for you
 Decided to use the following set of Priorities
for the decision on the organ (priority order)
     Sound Quality
     Annual upkeep costs
     MIDI sequencer
     Upfront cost
 Wow factor (pipe organ) “feel/rattle”
     Historical value
 Priorities Pipe Electronic
     Sound Quality Yes Yes
     Annual upkeep costs $920 $0
     MIDI sequencer None Yes
     Upfront cost $60,000 $46,750
 Wow factor (pipe organ) Yes Yes
     Historical value Yes None
Our unanimous recommendation is to NOT
repair the existing pipe organ, but to go with
the higher capability of the Allen electronic
organ with the MIDI sequencer.
Rationale:
Sound Quality is equal to the pipe organ
Annual upkeep costs are zero
MIDI has lots of capacity!
Overall cost is less
WOW factor is just as great as the pipe organ
THANK-YOU! What are your questions ????????????
