Take America for example, when its GDP hit USD1 trillion, its helicopters for civil use amounted to more than 8,000 ones, as opposed to China’s 80 when it developed at the same level. By 2020, China’s demand for utility aircrafts will hit 10,000 ones, of which, 6,000 will be piston-powered ones, 2,000 turboprop-powered, 500 business jet aircrafts, 1,000 helicopters, and 500 others, with the targeted market size claiming RMB150 billion; provided the industrial driving ratio of 1:10, the output scale of the entire general aviation industry is expected to reach RMB1.5 trillion, according to the estimation from CAST, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and China General Aviation Association. The report predicts the development trend of global and China general aviation industry, and highlights the operation of key enterprises at home and abroad as well as their development planning. CITIC Offshore Helicopter (000099) is mainly engaged in maritime helicopter transport, onshore general aviation and general a viation maintenance businesses, as the largest maritime helicopter transport service provider and the largest general airline company in China which occupies nearly 60% market share of China’s maritime helicopter transport business. In 2013H1, the revenue of CITIC Offshore Helicopter rose by 2.79% year-on-year to RMB521 million, with the net income jumping by 19.1% year-on-year to RMB82.07 million, with the air time of general aviation hitting 13,691 hours and 23 minutes and 17, 150 flight movements, respectively, up 9.87% year-on-year and 18.5% year-on-year.
