Global Threats AD

 1. 1. Global Warming By: Alex Andelsman and Dillon Studdert
 2. 2. What is Global Warming?

Global warming is an increase of the temperature of the earth.

 3. 3. What causes Global Warming?

There are some gases that are called greenhouse gases. These gases travel into the air and like the glass panes of a greenhouse, trap heat that would normally escape into the atmosphere.

 4. 4. What are the effects of Global Warming?

The higher temperatures are melting glaciers and polar ice sheets which causes sea level to rise.

When the sea level rises we have lots of floods.

There is also drought because with higher temperatures water evaporates.

 5. 5. What are solutions for Global Warming?

Global warming will diminish if …

We use less greenhouse gases.

We use cars less.

We use more solar panels.

We conserve energy.

 6. 6. Pollution By: Alex Andelsman and Dillon Studdert
 7. 7. What is Pollution?

Pollution is gases and chemicals that get into the air and water that we drink and breathe and poison it.

 8. 8. What are the causes for Pollution?

Chemicals spewing out of a factory smoke stack

Exhaust fumes from cars

Garbage in land fills

Oil leaking from boats

 9. 9. What are the effects of Pollution?

Pollution poisons the air and water that we drink.

Pollution kills animals, plants, and people.

 10. 10. What are solutions for Pollution?

One solution is that you can carpool to save gas or just don’t drive cars.

Another solution is we can stop or at least decrease the number of the landfills in the world by recycling.
