Why Teach and Practice SBEBA? • The society deserves to acquire the best scientific outcome of Ayurveda. • Research has documented that patients who do receive Science Based Evidence-Based Ayurveda have better outcomes than those who don’t. • It may be a more efficient means to improve the state and national economy. • Improved disease care and efficient health care .
  5. 5. Developments • Efficient strategies for tracking and appraising “Science Based Evidence”. • Availability of appraisal techniques to all the physicians of Ayurveda . • Continued Medical Education for physician training. • Information systems allowing access to resources in seconds.

Objectives • Hands-on, real-time learning of skills necessary to incorporate SBEBA into your daily practice of medicine. • Provide the opportunity to apply these skills to actual clinical encounters. • Enjoy the real privilege of teaching and treating others. • Acquire confidence to proceed in profession.
  7. 7. DO THIS • Attend all the SBEBA sessions. • Each week during your clinical encounters generate questions about patient care you would like to try and answer in the mode of SBEBA. • Apply and teach what you learn.
  8. 8. Steps in Practicing SBEBA 1. Confirm what you really want to do and how you will do. 2. Seek science based guidelines(evidence) for step 1 . 3. Appraise the evidence in the sequential order of Evidence Triad Approach ( Silver- Golden- Diamond) 4. Integrate the Diamond evidence with the clinical situation in the patient.

  12. 12. Basics Training • Training on Basic principles will be provided before commencing the SBEBA modules . • Training will be offered in initial 4 weeks introductory session before 16 weeks training programme .
  13. 13. Case discussion • The last four sessions will be devoted for case discussion which may include rare cases also. • So, altogether 24 modules are included in the programme.
