Success Factors
• I have learned to learn (thanks Uni Basel),
books and audio books very important,
applied stuff diligently
• Stubbornness, will to survive, giving up no
option, despite enough reasons to do so
• Tremendous amount of luck
• Social media hype saved us, in „traditional“
industry we probably gone broke
• Idealistic values, business ethics, frugality

Things I would do differently
• 1-2 years internship/business experience with
company I admire, e.g. ricardo.ch
• Laser focus on customer acquisition from day 1
• More very simple calculations, e.g. what
minimum budget a campaign has to have to make
sense?
• Stronger focus on one/few things
• Stronger focus on value for society, purpose
• Career is not everything, more balance

• GmbH instead of AG if not enough cash for AG

Grateful for

• Moritz, best intern ever (!) moved from
Northern Germany to Basel and quickly
became a very important key employee
• Regular team reunion‘s despite „Post-merger
integration“
• Helping inspire Annina and Bea to become
