Children read to children <ul><li>Visit to the kindergarten Grosspetersdorf </li></ul><ul><li>The pupils read the fairy tale “ Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ” to the coming beginners of the Primary Schools. </li></ul><ul><li>After reading the pupils helped the children of the kindergarten drawing, colouring and cutting out Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs </li></ul>

An outing to the Fairy Wood of Mühlgraben <ul><li>A tiny town in the most southern part of the Burgenland, together with the 1 st forms of the Primary School of Grosspetersdorf </li></ul><ul><ul><li>A big playground on a meadow and in the wood </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>An exhibition of fairy tales in the wood (a way round) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A fairy book to read by each station </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Barbecue at a camp fire – The children grilled their own sausages </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Wonderful weather </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The pupils of the Primary School of Welgersdorf enjoyed it a lot to read from the books for the whole group. Each child had chosen the fairy tale that had been read in class by their reading - godfather ’ s and godmother ’ s </li></ul>

Evaluation of our project work <ul><li>As we had integrated the fairy tales as theatre plays into all our school performances, we noticed that the pupils improved dramatising </li></ul><ul><li>Concerning the reading project we could notice that the motivation to read fairy tales grew much. The pupils were very proud to read stories to younger ones </li></ul><ul><li>In the English lessons with the 3 rd and 4 th form we read Little Red Riding Hood and acted out Sleeping Beauty with all 4 forms </li></ul><ul><li>Pupils showed much interest in getting to know a lot about the partner countries. We offered information and games and created posters to each country </li></ul><ul><li>In the last week of the school year we plan to make a summary book with all the pupils about the project. </li></ul>
