ECONOMY <ul><li>The two major sources of Egyptian gold were found in Nubia to the South and in the Eastern Dessert. Egyptian Gold was obtained by crushing the white quartz rock which was found in the eastern dessert. Gold was also panned from silt found in the river beds. LANGUAGE <ul><li>Hieroglyphs were called, by the Egyptians, "the words of God", and used mainly by priests. and were great for decorating the walls of temples and for conducting day to day business. Hieroglyphs are written in rows or columns and can be read from left to right or from right to left. </li></ul>These are the hieroglyphics they used.
