Business Proposal
Business proposal
A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It
is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a
company of your own.
In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours
submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there
are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal.
So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that.
The Basics of a Business Proposal
Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more

Pricing Information
For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer
you the contract or not.
How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous
segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will
suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list.
Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal
Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start
writing, right? Well, not exactly.
The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business
proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract.
Do Your Research
Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if
you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the
competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business
proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible.
Put Yourself in their Shoes
Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes
of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would

Introduction
Made from vegetable fibres called cellulose, paper as we know it today was first created in China
more than two thousand years ago. Since the advent of the printing press in the 15th century, its use
has spread across all continents to the extent that, currently, it is hard to imagine the world without
this versatile material. More than 400 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are produced
worldwide every year, with more than half coming from recovered sources.
Thus recycling of paper plays an important role in meeting the demand for increasing paper use.
Recycling used paper and cardboard has significant advantages over other disposal options – namely
landfill and incineration.
Abstract
Since a lot of waste paper is produced in IIST, paper recycling can serve as an economical way to
reduce waste and reuse the recovered paper. Since most of the waste in IIST comes from papers
(mostly printed A4 sheets and newspapers), recycling of this waste on small

Writing A Grant Proposal Essay
Steps to Writing a Grant Proposal
Section One: Grant Proposal Writing
For all organizations funding can be an issue. Depending if the organization is for profit, they depend
on loans and revenue to support them, building inventory, and expanding. While non–profits depend
on grants and donations to keep their organizations running. The most important with non–profits is
writing grant proposals to keep the financial aspects of the organization intact. Human services need
to take great care in who is responsible of writing grant proposals for their organization.
The important steps that must be followed in writing the grant proposal after finding the appropriate
request for proposal or application is to write an abstract for the...show more content...
The project management aspects address staffing, their responsibilities, the organizational structure,
and how this program is related to past projects. The budget and budget justifications stage of
proposal writing shows how the money requested will be spent and why it should be spent the way
the detailed budget has projected. Items like the percentage to be spent on general expenses, salaries,
staffing, and travel are all important to funders; if the largest percent of administrative salaries exist,
the funder may require money be spent on other purposes. The other sources and amounts of funding
which have been committed should be disclosed in this section of the proposal.
An ending summary which pulls together the plan, the desired outcomes related to mission, goals
and objectives, the budgetary definitions, and how all interventions will best serve the clients
involved in a situation where urgent or unique need has made the program important. Grant writing
is a skill that will be developed with greater expertise through practice and experiences with funders.
Great care should be taken to properly apply for grants related to specific programs and projects;
otherwise, future submittals may be discounted because an agency has previously ignored the

How To Write A Bullying Proposal
Dear Henry County School Board,
Personally, I have never been a victim in any shape or sort of bullying. However According to the
National Center For Education Statistics, there are 14.9 Million students in the U.S. and at least 47
Percent of them will be effected in some shape of bullying. That is over 6 Million kids in the U.S.
who will be impacted by bullying. It also states that girls are less likely to be contributors of
bullying, they still have the same effects or it can be just as bad as the boys bullying. According to
the National Bullying Prevention Center bullying happens in numerous places. Such as, Hallways,
Cafeteria, Classrooms, Bathroom, School buses, Social Media, Locker Rooms, And Outside of
school.
To prevent bullying in most of these places could be fairly simple. Hallways could be patrolled by

Teachers need to be more observant and more responsible, such as getting on to students when
they start to make fun of somebody or take pictures of them, etc. The bathrooms could be patrolled
by a certain person throughout the day, to make sure nobody is fighting or if a student is targeting
another student and wait for them to go to the bathroom, then they could stop that from happening.
On the school buses they could have assigned seats over time when the bus driver knows who is
who, and how they act around one another and keep the loud obnoxious ones in the front, and the
quiet ones in the back or vice versa. Social media would be up to the students to stop other students
from bulling them. On most social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. Users have an
option to block other users of the application. The school board could hold a meeting about this if it
got too serious. Locker rooms during gym could be patrolled by the gym teachers while the students
are changing respectively to the gender

Proposal Paper
Proposal Paper
Like the previous paper I enjoyed writing this one as well. I have been skiing for 14years, so this
is something I'm interested in. In the process of writing this paper I heard conflicting views from
pro and con helmet sides. My dad was upset by the fact that I wrote about why you shouldn't wear
ski helmets, because he wears one when he skis. Personal preference backed up by convincing
evidence I found in multiple places helped me prove my position against ski helmets at high speeds.
I have been skiing since I was four years old. When I started skiing in 1989 very few people were
using helmets. Who know whether or not any lives could have been saved with the use of helmets
on the slopes? Since 1989 ski helmets...show more content...
Secondly, is it worth paying the money for a false sense of security that could lead to and higher
rate of injury? And lastly, if helmets are so purposeless, who can benefit from them?
Helmets have been used in many different applications before they were ever considered for winter
sports. One would relish in the fact that a helmet is a helmet and it will protect you. The smart
consumer would not be ignorant enough to believe such a crock unless they had good data to
back up such a large claim. The first place to look for this type of data would be in a credible
source not unlike Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports is famous for unbiased, solid information
on all kinds of different products. The results that they found are quite surprising. To test the effects
of direct impact they chilled the helmets between 0 and 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and dropped them
from various heights onto the edge of a steel anvil. From the information in this article I was under
the impression that in the event of a collision a helmet may actually damage the skier instead of
protecting them. "The Shell of the Boeri Rage (high–gloss version) broke, and pieces separated from
the helmet. That not only made the strap fastener useless, but that also meant that shards of the shell
could cut the wearer's face during a tumble" (Consumer Reports). As a result of this test the Boeri
helmet was rated unacceptable. Jeff Ravreby, VP of Boeri Sports USA disbanded this claim stating,

Grant proposal A was about implementing an expansion to ABC's Alternative Breaks program to
send groups of students to various communities around the country. Overall, I felt this grant was well
written. This grant proposal is straight to the point, but gives enough information within most areas
where clarification in not necessary. This grantproposal falls under the community service, and civic
engagement categories. Although this grant proposal is for an expansion of preexisting program, I
can see why they want to expand the program. The program is helps bring awareness to social
problems, promotes physical activity, and helps entice people to engage in their communities. I feel
that this expansion program would benefit communities,...show more content...
The grant proposal application states that the project must have an end date on or before August 31,
2014. However, this proposal says the project end date is ongoing, which violates the rules. There
was no indication how the project would impact those involved, or how it would impact the
community. This proposal never indicated how they would evaluate the project itself once it was
over, and the project had no prediction of the sustainability after the grant either. The only strengths
this grant proposal had was providing a budget match, and fitting within the community service, and
civic engagement categories. I felt this grant proposal was pointless, and I would not fund this
proposal at all.
Grant proposal C proposed for a community mural to be created in various alleys within the
downtown area. This proposal falls within the community service, service–learning, and civic
engagement categories. This grant proposal did not clearly state why it is imperative this project
should be funded. Besides stating illegal activities like tagging would decrease, essentially there
were no problems that would be addressed by this proposal. However, the proposal did state
property values would increase, and beautiful pictures would be displayed for the community to see,
if this project was funded. The impact for the community could be beneficial, and this is conveying
through the writing. I feel the amount of

Defining the need in the problem statement creates the structure for the rest of the grant. The first
step is the assessing of the need to alleviate some of the symptoms of a systemic issue. To do this
a literature review of the previous research must be completed. This shows that as an active
participant of the program you're well read on the subject. You're providing an intellectual
stewardship to prove you're well embedded as someone possible of helping. While clarifying who
is affected by the need, a sense of urgency is added. It is important to go beyond the target
population as a way to add scope. With the different levels of social interconnectedness, there is

A Sample Group Counseling Project Proposal
A group Counseling Project Proposal – sample
INTRODUCTION
What is Group Counseling?
Purpose of the group counseling varies from group to group. It can be therapeutic, educational, or
helping people to make fundamental changes in their way of thinking, feeling and behaving (Corey,
2004, p. 7). Group counseling/therapy has the advantage of being more effective than individual
therapy because, it more closely stimulates social interactions and interpersonal communication
patterns than does individual counseling (Kottler, 2004, p. 260). The techniques and strategies use in
group counseling are to help resolve members' interpersonal conflict, promote greater self–awareness
and insight, and help them work to eliminate their self–defeating...show more content...
The Centre has conducted more than fifty group–counseling programs in twenty schools in this
community, both public and private, during the last four years. It also has conducted a variety of
group counseling programs for the families, youth, college students, teacher training institutes, army,
senior citizens and tourist resorts. Individual counseling service is also proceeding on a daily basis.
RATIONALE
The following are a brief description of the type of group, the target population, basic purposes of the
group, rationale for this group, requirements to join the group, and the theoretical approaches.
Type of Group: This proposal is aimed to conduct a short– term, "personal–growth type group".
Population: The counseling group will be conducted for the adolescent male students of the Public
Secondary Boy's School. This is achieved through realistic goal setting by the group members with
the guidance of the group leader. Purpose: The purpose of this group is to facilitate personal growth
by enhancing self–esteem and developing a positive self–image, so that the members will gain
self–awareness of their own feelings, personal values and needs. They also will increase
self–understanding and self–acceptance for better functioning and leading a better life in the future.
Rational for the Group: The need for conducting a group counseling program for adolescents is
crucial because they are in a very critical stage in their life. Group couselling for

those that have an aim in providing the student a research view. As part of the Materials in Drug

incorporating innovative ideas of areas to perform research to answer the gaps on literature. Writing

medication that was showed positive results with low side burden, the problem they are facing is
that it takes over 8 months to see the results. I have a potential idea on how I can improve the
medication to work faster so they ask me to write a research proposal that can potentially be
submitted for funding of the study. I proceed to research for articles that talk about possible vectors
that can be use that can be stable in the stomach under acid conditions, that can remain stable without
regards of pre–prandial or post–prandial state and over time be able to be eliminated out of the
body without any complications. I find information regarding these gastro retentive polymers that
can be formulated to hold in drug spheres. After writing the document that explains all the
characteristic of the drug and the experiments to test drug release and stability I will submit the
research proposal and kindly receive constructive feedback on how to improve my ideas or if it is
ready I will submit it as a grant application. With this my end goal would be to get approved with a
grant award, and commence experiments with the drug where the end point is to reach clinical
phases and get the drug approve for patient use. All of this done to improve patients life and

The final research paper generated from the Project Proposal: Effects of Climate Change will
discuss the question, what Americans can do to reduce climate change health effects? Various
research publications by credible sources advise, global warming climate change has an affect on
human health. Climate change and the impact on human health can be connected through direct or
indirect variables.
The Importance

making some positive changes in their lives. This is an important issue to me because global warming
is an issue that just about everyone. Not enough people take the climate change situation...show more

I also want to persuade these young adults to start making some minor changes to their everyday
life so that we can stop causing changes to the climate, overall helping put an end to global warming
itself. A myth being said is that global warming is normal and that because civilization has survived
droughts and temperature shifts before, we can all adapt to climate change.
What I want my readers to learn, as well as myself, is that these current climate changes will bring
major hardships and economic dislocations. I want my readers to be able to really learn something
from my research. I hope they can learn the importance of global warming and the effects it has on
everyone. At the end of this research paper, we should all have a better understanding of what
exactly global warming is, what is causing the changes in the climate, and changes we can all make
to prevent these causes.

an overall general interest in the subject. Listed below are various logical and emotional appeals that
may draw the intended reader into the climate change subject area:

2.2Type of Research Design
A research design can be understood as the planning of any scientific research from the first to the
last step. In this sense it is a program to guide the researcher in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting
facts (Bless and Higson–Smith, 1995:63).
For the purpose of this study, the researcher intends to use a cross–sectional research design where
all the data will be collected at the same time. The distribution of the research questionnaires will
take place over a time period of two weeks where the main data will be collected from the
respondents.
2.3Data collecting methods and data analysis
The data gathering will be done with a questionnaire the researcher designed her self that will assess
work satisfaction of social workers. The questionnaire is named the Questionnaire on Social Workers
Work Satisfaction in Welfare Organizations. This questionnaire firstly has the objective to collect
certain vital demographic information from the respondents. Secondly, it covers aspects on how the
respondents perceived their work environment, their experiences in so far their work

Application For An Expert Grant Writer
Basically, a proposal refers to the application managers used to request funding. The applications are
published by the government funding, charitable organizations, agencies, businesses and other
individuals. Indeed, a grant proposal writer should pursue the sponsor's intention. An expert grant
writer requires knowledge in various areas. Proposal writing skills are critical in an organization, an
excellent grant writer should able to make a good research and connect the grant's elements. The
elements of an effective proposal are "content development, demonstrating scientific, economic, and
social benefits, satisfying program criteria, addressing funding agency requirements, proper
formatting/language, demonstrating the sustainability of the project's output, monitoring and
evaluation provisions, budgeting, and administrative/ financial capacity/experience" (Belmain,
2016). A well written proposal includes references from trusty source and citations. It requires well
developed ideas, the project's philosophy must be detailed with persuasive information, it should
provide information on how the program will be delivered (Belmain, 2016).
A proposal document includes the description of the social, economic and scientific advantages. In
the same way, the proposal strategies are developed according to the donor's requirements. Therefore,
research consistency and project's development strategies are essential. Equally, the proposal should

Health Care Proposal Essay
My New Proposal for a New System Jamelia Hamilton Axia College of University of Phoenix
Health care is one of the most important benefits to the people of the United States. Everybody
needs health care and some people need more medical attention than others and some people do
not even need health care, except for their yearly exams. Today health care has many strengths,
weaknesses, and challenges. I have come up with a new exam that will hopefully benefit
everybody in some way. My vision for the new health care system is to one, make it more
affordable for everybody in the United States. Two, to make sure that everybody receives the
medical attention they need and deserve. The new health care plan I have come up with is called,

the family plan. My health care proposal also really benefits elders. Today, elders have a really
hard time paying for health care when they are on a fixed income. I believe that health care
should a lot cheaper for elders. I believe that elders should receive discounts on their prescriptions
and this proposal would take care of that. This health care proposal would make health care
cheaper for elders by reducing the cost of prescriptions and doctor visits. This health care plan also
eliminates health care for the people who do not need and gives medical attention to the ones who
do need it. For example, the people who have long–term illnesses, but cannot pay for it because they
cannot afford it or it is not in their current health care plan. The people who do have long–term
illnesses in their health care plan, but do have a long–term illness would no longer have to pay for it,
unless they became ill. This would help people realize what they are paying for and what they are
not paying for. This proposal also proposes that kids who are suffering from long–term illnesses get
paid so much money a year for health care expenses, well their parents or guardians would receive
the money and the money could be used for bills or health

Do you know the similarities and differences between a funding proposal and a research proposal?
According to the website learnerassociates.net/proposal, writing a funding proposal was created to
help empower people to be successful in gaining funds for projects that provide worthwhile social
service. Aresearch proposal considers your overall topic ideas, your research question, your
research process, and your sources and scaffolds what the next steps will be for the project. There
are similarities and differences between writing a funding proposal and a research proposal.
A research proposal is most often written by scholars seeking grant funding for a research project or
it's the first step in getting approval to write a doctoral dissertation. Even if this is just a course
assignment, the introduction is the initial pitch of an idea or a thorough examination of the
significance of a research problem. After reading the introduction, readers should not only
understand what is being proposed. Most proposals do not include an abstract before the
introduction. Background and Significance, this section can be melded into your introduction or
you can create a separate section to help with the organization and narrative flow of your proposal.
This is where you explain the context of your proposal and describe in detail why it's important.
Approach writing this section with the thought that you can't assume your readers will know as
much about the research problem as you do. Note

When faced with domestic violence these children sometimes carry on violence when they become
adults or blame themselves. This article explores theories and situations that show the long term and
short term effects of domestic violence. They identified 41 studies that provided relevant and
adequate data for inclusion in a meta–analysis. Forty of these studies indicated that children 's
exposure to domestic violence was related to emotional and behavioral problems, translating to a
small overall effect (Wolfe, Crooks, Lee, McIntyre–Smith, & Jaffe, 2003). Another article connects
domestic violence with personal control. Research showed that woman victims of domestic
violence may have some undermine feelings of low personal control. The consequence of domestic
violence are substantial in terms of physical injuries, psychological and emotional distress, and
substance abuse among victims. The loss of personal control has been associated with depression,
substance abuse, suicide, and a loss of self esteem among female victims. This article concludes that
there is a strong link between the loss of personal control and domestic violence (Johnson 2005).
This article is about a documentary. The components are based on the premise that violence against
women is a direct consequence of patriarchal institutions that empower and privilege men over
women. This was made to make visible the intimate violence and abuse that had been

Guidelines on Writing a Research Proposal
Guidelines on writing a research proposal
Introduction
This is a guide to writing M.A. research proposals. The same principles apply to dissertation
proposals and to proposals to most funding agencies. It includes a model outline, but advisor,
committee and funding agency expectations vary and your proposal will be a variation on this basic
theme. Use these guidelines as a point of departure for discussions with your advisor. They may
serve as a straw–man against which to build your understanding of both your project and of proposal
writing.
For USM students, the same rules apply as for proposals everywhere in the world.

One problem with this type of research is that you might find the perfect succinct answer to your
question on the night before (or after) you turn in the final draft ––– in someone else's work. This
certainly can knock the wind out of your sails. (But note that even a straight–ahead science thesis can
have the problem of late in the game discovering that the work you have done or are doing has

A Couple of Models for Proposals
A Two Page (Preliminary Proposal) Model
Here is a model for a very brief (maybe five paragraph) proposal that you might use to interest
faculty in sitting on your committee. People who are not yet hooked may especially appreciate its
brevity.
In the first paragraph, the first sentence identifies the general topic area. The second sentence gives
the research question, and the third sentence establishes its significance.
The next couple of paragraphs gives the larger historical perspective on the topic. Essentially list the
major schools of thought on the topic and very briefly review the literature in the area with its major
findings. Who has written on the topic and what have they found? Allocate about a sentence per
important person or finding. Include any preliminary

budget, market or customers" (Jane, 2011). The research proposal has different sections than a
normal business proposal. The research proposal normally begins with an abstract and is in APA
format (PRISM, Unk.). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other
research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been
subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a
research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM,
Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to
research and allows for the easy identification of the independent and dependent variables (PRISM,
Unk.). It also generally has a methods section, which is not usually part of a business proposal. The
methods section will be qualitative,

Personal Narrative: My Story Proposals
I'm dying to know what she said about me for that evaluation.... Did she request you come? Hey,
don't ignore me, you love to dodge questions whenever I ask you something, but don't leave me
hanging this time! This week was pretty slow. I did get sleep this week, but it seems that day
hours are longer and nights are shorter (freaking summer solstice). Now that my time is coming
to an end I have a lot of story proposals being thrown at me and I'm smile every day from ear to ear
thinking mischievous things about dodging them. Of course, I'll do some of them, but many of
them sounds boring and people just want to be lazy and not have to do their own work. With
many reporters taking vacations, I had to pick up some of their stories once again. Robert Howey,
our sports reporter left me with a football and cheerleading story to cover for a special section they
have in August....show more content...
Unfortunately, no matter what school I went to, I never had school spirit. I always wished for
the school I attended to do poorly and the other guys to win. Howbeit, I quit and I used to cheer
with rivalry teams at home games whenever I could. Being involved in outdoors spring sports, we
didn't have cheerleaders and I still don't see the point of them being on the sidelines yelling at the
top of their lungs at games. They don't boost the football or basketball teams to do better and only
at certain games do they hype the crowd. (Okay, rant over, back to my

  • 2. Business Proposal Business proposal A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you're a freelancer or you have a company of your own. In today's cut–throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal. So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that. The Basics of a Business Proposal Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand...show more content... Pricing Information For many clients, the pricing information is what will make them decide whether they would offer you the contract or not. How to write this part greatly depends on the solution or solutions you included in the previous segment. If the solution proposed will only entail a short period of time, a Fee Summary will suffice. For longer projects, segment these payments to specific milestones in a Fee Schedule list. Things to Remember When Writing a Business Proposal Now that you know the essentials of a winning business proposal, it's time to go ahead and start writing, right? Well, not exactly. The next part is to be able to find out what to put under the 3 Ps so that you can develop a business proposal that gets their attention and awards you that contract. Do Your Research Not all clients and buyers will give you the explicit details of their wants and needs, especially if you're submitting an unsolicited business proposal. Extend your research9 to include the competitors of your potential client, and their customers as well. This will ensure that your business proposal will be as comprehensive and as detailed as possible. Put Yourself in their Shoes Another thing to remember when writing a business proposal is to always put yourself in the shoes of your potential clients. Doing this will help you provide information on things that they would Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Project as part of CH311 Environmental Science and Engineering Aashish Lamba SC12B001 Aditya Duhan SC12B005 Mohit Singh Malik SC12B032 Shakti Bhim Bhan Singh SC12B048 Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology Thiruvananthapuram September 2014 Introduction Made from vegetable fibres called cellulose, paper as we know it today was first created in China more than two thousand years ago. Since the advent of the printing press in the 15th century, its use has spread across all continents to the extent that, currently, it is hard to imagine the world without this versatile material. More than 400 million tonnes of paper and cardboard are produced worldwide every year, with more than half coming from recovered sources. Thus recycling of paper plays an important role in meeting the demand for increasing paper use. Recycling used paper and cardboard has significant advantages over other disposal options – namely landfill and incineration. Abstract Since a lot of waste paper is produced in IIST, paper recycling can serve as an economical way to reduce waste and reuse the recovered paper. Since most of the waste in IIST comes from papers (mostly printed A4 sheets and newspapers), recycling of this waste on small Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Depending if the organization is for profit, they depend on loans and revenue to support them, building inventory, and expanding. While non–profits depend on grants and donations to keep their organizations running. The most important with non–profits is writing grant proposals to keep the financial aspects of the organization intact. Human services need to take great care in who is responsible of writing grant proposals for their organization. The important steps that must be followed in writing the grant proposal after finding the appropriate request for proposal or application is to write an abstract for the...show more content... The project management aspects address staffing, their responsibilities, the organizational structure, and how this program is related to past projects. The budget and budget justifications stage of proposal writing shows how the money requested will be spent and why it should be spent the way the detailed budget has projected. Items like the percentage to be spent on general expenses, salaries, staffing, and travel are all important to funders; if the largest percent of administrative salaries exist, the funder may require money be spent on other purposes. The other sources and amounts of funding which have been committed should be disclosed in this section of the proposal. An ending summary which pulls together the plan, the desired outcomes related to mission, goals and objectives, the budgetary definitions, and how all interventions will best serve the clients involved in a situation where urgent or unique need has made the program important. Grant writing is a skill that will be developed with greater expertise through practice and experiences with funders. • 5. How To Write A Bullying Proposal Dear Henry County School Board, Personally, I have never been a victim in any shape or sort of bullying. However According to the National Center For Education Statistics, there are 14.9 Million students in the U.S. and at least 47 Percent of them will be effected in some shape of bullying. That is over 6 Million kids in the U.S. who will be impacted by bullying. It also states that girls are less likely to be contributors of bullying, they still have the same effects or it can be just as bad as the boys bullying. According to the National Bullying Prevention Center bullying happens in numerous places. Such as, Hallways, Cafeteria, Classrooms, Bathroom, School buses, Social Media, Locker Rooms, And Outside of school. To prevent bullying in most of these places could be fairly simple. Hallways could be patrolled by teachers and...show more content... Teachers need to be more observant and more responsible, such as getting on to students when they start to make fun of somebody or take pictures of them, etc. The bathrooms could be patrolled by a certain person throughout the day, to make sure nobody is fighting or if a student is targeting another student and wait for them to go to the bathroom, then they could stop that from happening. On the school buses they could have assigned seats over time when the bus driver knows who is who, and how they act around one another and keep the loud obnoxious ones in the front, and the quiet ones in the back or vice versa. Social media would be up to the students to stop other students from bulling them. On most social media such as Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc. Users have an option to block other users of the application. The school board could hold a meeting about this if it got too serious. Locker rooms during gym could be patrolled by the gym teachers while the students are changing respectively to the gender Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Proposal Paper Proposal Paper Like the previous paper I enjoyed writing this one as well. I have been skiing for 14years, so this is something I'm interested in. In the process of writing this paper I heard conflicting views from pro and con helmet sides. My dad was upset by the fact that I wrote about why you shouldn't wear ski helmets, because he wears one when he skis. Personal preference backed up by convincing evidence I found in multiple places helped me prove my position against ski helmets at high speeds. I have been skiing since I was four years old. When I started skiing in 1989 very few people were using helmets. Who know whether or not any lives could have been saved with the use of helmets on the slopes? Since 1989 ski helmets...show more content... Secondly, is it worth paying the money for a false sense of security that could lead to and higher rate of injury? And lastly, if helmets are so purposeless, who can benefit from them? Helmets have been used in many different applications before they were ever considered for winter sports. One would relish in the fact that a helmet is a helmet and it will protect you. The smart consumer would not be ignorant enough to believe such a crock unless they had good data to back up such a large claim. The first place to look for this type of data would be in a credible source not unlike Consumer Reports. Consumer Reports is famous for unbiased, solid information on all kinds of different products. The results that they found are quite surprising. To test the effects of direct impact they chilled the helmets between 0 and 9 degrees Fahrenheit, and dropped them from various heights onto the edge of a steel anvil. From the information in this article I was under the impression that in the event of a collision a helmet may actually damage the skier instead of protecting them. "The Shell of the Boeri Rage (high–gloss version) broke, and pieces separated from the helmet. That not only made the strap fastener useless, but that also meant that shards of the shell could cut the wearer's face during a tumble" (Consumer Reports). As a result of this test the Boeri helmet was rated unacceptable. Jeff Ravreby, VP of Boeri Sports USA disbanded this claim stating, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Grant Proposal Paper Grant proposal A was about implementing an expansion to ABC's Alternative Breaks program to send groups of students to various communities around the country. Overall, I felt this grant was well written. This grant proposal is straight to the point, but gives enough information within most areas where clarification in not necessary. This grantproposal falls under the community service, and civic engagement categories. Although this grant proposal is for an expansion of preexisting program, I can see why they want to expand the program. The program is helps bring awareness to social problems, promotes physical activity, and helps entice people to engage in their communities. I feel that this expansion program would benefit communities,...show more content... The grant proposal application states that the project must have an end date on or before August 31, 2014. However, this proposal says the project end date is ongoing, which violates the rules. There was no indication how the project would impact those involved, or how it would impact the community. This proposal never indicated how they would evaluate the project itself once it was over, and the project had no prediction of the sustainability after the grant either. The only strengths this grant proposal had was providing a budget match, and fitting within the community service, and civic engagement categories. I felt this grant proposal was pointless, and I would not fund this proposal at all. Grant proposal C proposed for a community mural to be created in various alleys within the downtown area. This proposal falls within the community service, service–learning, and civic engagement categories. This grant proposal did not clearly state why it is imperative this project should be funded. Besides stating illegal activities like tagging would decrease, essentially there were no problems that would be addressed by this proposal. However, the proposal did state property values would increase, and beautiful pictures would be displayed for the community to see, if this project was funded. The impact for the community could be beneficial, and this is conveying through the writing. I feel the amount of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Problem Proposal Defining the need in the problem statement creates the structure for the rest of the grant. The first step is the assessing of the need to alleviate some of the symptoms of a systemic issue. To do this a literature review of the previous research must be completed. This shows that as an active participant of the program you're well read on the subject. You're providing an intellectual stewardship to prove you're well embedded as someone possible of helping. While clarifying who is affected by the need, a sense of urgency is added. It is important to go beyond the target population as a way to add scope. The addition of sustainability and legitimacy is meant to appeal to the investment aspect of the grant. To maintain the conversational aspect of writing, she also stressed being flexible to changes while writing. As a faculty member at UCSC she was able to provide more insight on the SVC. For the purpose of this course, we were reminded that applying for the $1,000 grant is like "shooting fish in a barrel". The role as participants in academia places a sense of responsibility on us to help the community. Talking about the requirements and those working at the SVC's board shows that grant is something obtainable. Writing to the university, it is also important to take the focus off our personal passion and towards the community. Andrea described her background on grant writing as a non linear path, meaning she didn't start off with the intention of writing. Her combination of a bachelors, masters, and PhD in different subjects makes her a proper interdisciplinary scholar well suited for writing. Today, elders have a really hard time paying for health care when they are on a fixed income. I believe that health care should a lot cheaper for elders. I believe that elders should receive discounts on their prescriptions and this proposal would take care of that. This health care proposal would make health care cheaper for elders by reducing the cost of prescriptions and doctor visits. This health care plan also eliminates health care for the people who do not need and gives medical attention to the ones who do need it. For example, the people who have long–term illnesses, but cannot pay for it because they cannot afford it or it is not in their current health care plan. The people who do have long–term illnesses in their health care plan, but do have a long–term illness would no longer have to pay for it, unless they became ill. This would help people realize what they are paying for and what they are not paying for. This proposal also proposes that kids who are suffering from long–term illnesses get paid so much money a year for health care expenses, well their parents or guardians would receive the money and the money could be used for bills or health Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Do you know the similarities and differences between a funding proposal and a research proposal? According to the website learnerassociates.net/proposal, writing a funding proposal was created to help empower people to be successful in gaining funds for projects that provide worthwhile social service. Aresearch proposal considers your overall topic ideas, your research question, your research process, and your sources and scaffolds what the next steps will be for the project. There are similarities and differences between writing a funding proposal and a research proposal. A research proposal is most often written by scholars seeking grant funding for a research project or it's the first step in getting approval to write a doctoral dissertation. Even if this is just a course assignment, the introduction is the initial pitch of an idea or a thorough examination of the significance of a research problem. After reading the introduction, readers should not only understand what is being proposed. Most proposals do not include an abstract before the introduction. Background and Significance, this section can be melded into your introduction or you can create a separate section to help with the organization and narrative flow of your proposal. This is where you explain the context of your proposal and describe in detail why it's important. Approach writing this section with the thought that you can't assume your readers will know as much about the research problem as you do. Note Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 21. Part 1: The Differences between Formal Research and a Business Proposal Formal research and business proposals may focus on researching the same problems and seek similar information, but they have different "overall goals, sections, purposes and uses" (Jane, 2011). Understanding the differences between the two can help a person be more effective in writing either a formal research proposal or a business proposal. For a research proposal, the goals tend to focus on "finding specific information or data that can help the business make better decisions, whether it is for the budget, market or customers" (Jane, 2011). The research proposal has different sections than a normal business proposal. The research proposal normally begins with an abstract and is in APA format (PRISM, Unk.). Moreover, the ideas in a research proposal tend to be based on other research and draws its information from other scholarly literature, preferably studies that have been subject o peer review(PRISM, Unk.). It has an introduction and a conclusion. The problem in a research project is carefully famed, "as a potential contribution to scholarly research" (PRISM, Unk.). Furthermore, the research question is going to be stated in a way that is conducive to research and allows for the easy identification of the independent and dependent variables (PRISM, Unk.). It also generally has a methods section, which is not usually part of a business proposal. The methods section will be qualitative, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
