Effective study habits

  1. 1. Effective Study Habits<br />How not to cram for the exam all night.<br />
  2. 2. There are a few tips that will help you study more effectively<br />
  3. 3. READ<br />
  4. 4. Before<br />Read before class, skim the material related to the lecture.<br />Note anything that you don’t understand, or feel like you need to know more about.<br />Listen for these things in the lecture,<br /> or if they aren’t covered, ask your instructor.<br />
  5. 5. READ<br />
  6. 6. After<br />Thoroughly read the section pertaining to the lecture a few hours after the lecture. Use your class notes, and highlight important terms, and concepts. <br />You DO NOT want to highlight everything!<br />
  7. 7. READ<br />
  8. 8. After a few days:<br />Read again, your notes and highlighted sections.<br />If you are an auditory learner, read it out loud.<br />
  9. 9. READ<br />
  10. 10. After a few more days:<br />Read, your notes and highlighted sections again.<br />Don’t study in the same place every time.<br />
  11. 11. Do this for every chapter and when it is time for the test<br />You will be ready,<br /> all you will need to do is…<br />
