10. MISSY MUSIC explores the impact of music on self esteem and
relationships [toxic and sweet] through the music of artists like
Rihanna, Beyonce, India Arie and Alicia Keys
By the end of the workshop each participant will:
become familiar with the music and lyrics of two modern song
writers
understand how music can shape attitudes, emotions and
actions
create a short rap or song using their own lyrics
be aware of mixed messages in music media
