With the launch of the new fb desgin, there seems to be a bit of confusion about how to control the sudden twitter like influx of news about your friends. Hopefully this deck can help.

  2. 2. Don’t give up..yet. <ul><li>The following deck will show you how to: </li></ul><ul><li>Create Friend Lists </li></ul><ul><li>Prioritize Home page feeds </li></ul>
  3. 3. Click on “ALL Friends” under the “Friend” option on the top nav bar
  4. 4. Under ALL Friends / Status Updates click on “Make a New List” button on the left side nav bar
  5. 5. Follow the directions on screen and enter a name for your <New list>. In my case, “C r ew ”
  6. 6. Now add the names of your friends that you want listed under your Friend Lists named “C r ew”
  7. 7. Click on “S e lect Multiple Friends ” to do just that or select friends via visuals
  8. 8. Either scroll through all the images, filter your selections or type in your friend’s name
  9. 9. Click to select this friend and then save to your “C r ew ” list
  10. 10. On your “F r iends ” page you can see all of your Friend Lists: Status Updates, Recently Updated, Phonebook and Everyone
  11. 11. To create multiple “Friend Lists” <ul><li>Repeat steps 6-8 until you are satisfied with your new “Friend Lists” </li></ul><ul><li>Next slides will show you how to prioritize the “News Feed” on you “Home” page </li></ul>
  12. 12. On your “Home” page, the “New Feed” is prioritized by vertical rank in order. The default is set to “N e ws Feed ”
  13. 13. To change priority, drag the feed that you want to see to the top of the list - any friends not in this list won’t be seen by you on your “H o me” page feed - Crew Feed News Feed -
  14. 14. On your “P r ofile ” page, you can filter your wall based on “Y o u + Friends ” , “Just Y o u” or “Just F r iends” / Click the settings button to set your wall posting rules
  15. 15. Click on your “Settings” link located on the top nav bar to edit “A c count ” , “P r ivacy ” and “A p plication ” settings
