  2. Peter was delighted to see his team’s victory in rowing league after a long time. John and Chris were the blue eyed boys for him as it was after their joining that Peter’s team has won. Special status for Chris and John was obvious due to their strong participation.
  3. As Peter lead his team, Winning was becoming habit of this team and so was special status to John and Chris. For every win they would get major credit Later as the time passed………… Gradually winning started becoming tough…… and tougher………
  4. Now Peter was a worried man…..He kept analysing and suspected that the reason could be teammates other than John and Chris. He also thought, “As far as John and Chris are concerned they are performers and well rewarded too, so they won’t perform bad”
  5. In this crisis …..Peter planned rigorous practice sessions and this time he planned to observe his teammates while they practiced And to his surprise From a different view the picture was different……..
  6. Peter could learn something differently when he observed his team from a different direction. Watching from sides he could clearly see that John was just moving his hands and not applying his energy……..and this was not visible to him when was leading his team from the front
  7. After discussion with John on same he learned that John was just not having interest in his work from couple of months While he has developed skills of demonstrating his work despite not doing it !!! For him it was the same old task that he has done so many times
  8. Have you met John earlier…... Are your Colleagues engaged ??
  9. Colleague Engagement : • Will rewards ensure your colleague’s engagement ? • What future your colleague see’s with organisation/you….. • Should we analyse our colleagues via limited criteria or apply a broader approach • Do all colleagues have same priorities…
  10. Colleague Engagement : An Engaged employee brings with him enthusiasm and optimism, he will not only make efforts to drive performance but would also influence others while a disengaged employee is reverse of same
